Fraud Alert: Beware of Electricity Bill Scam, ELECTRA MAN OR ELECTRICITY OFFICER

Instead of providing ease of life, technology is becoming a disruptor and throwing more challenges at ordinary people every day. Uninterrupted electricity supply is crucial to all our lives today. So, fraudsters have found this a perfect weakness to exploit by threatening a power cut on the fake claim that a bill is unpaid. The message with the threat helpfully has the number of an 'electricity officer' or an app to be downloaded to make things right. This fraud is rampant because people instinctively call the number and get lured into providing more details. We will also see how criminals created over 10,000 polymer fingerprints using Aadhaar data to withdraw Rs14.64 lakh from bank accounts linked to Aadhaar. Electricity Bill Scam Messages
Many people are receiving messages through SMS or on WhatsApp about paying their dues for electricity supply, failing which the power will be cut by 9.30pm. In today's interconnected world, the disconnection of electric power supply is sure to create panic for a customer.
While these messages started appearing a few months ago in north-eastern states, they are now doing the rounds across the country. Interestingly, none mentions the name of the electric power supplier; they are sent from mobile numbers and not from the authentic SMS header used by the electricity company. Yet, SMS threatens to disconnect the power supply of the customer.
There are a few versions of this message floating around, but people are quick to assume it is an official message from the electricity distributor. On calling the number in the message, they are asked to download a computer sharing app like AnyDesk. Once the victim does this, the 'electricity officer' asks for a passcode to access your mobile. He then asks to make an online payment of dues. Since he has access to your computer screen and is recording what you do, he gets all the information you are keying in to access your account and uses it to siphon off money.

1. Precautions to sab ko pata hai, phir bhi log in fraud ke victim ban jate hain aur apna paisa gawan dete hain. 2. Uske baad police station ke chakkar lagate rehte hain. Police FIR register nahi karti. 3. 1930 (National cyber fraud portal) pe call karte hain to wo local police station ko case assign kar dete hain. Jo phele se hi aapka case nahi register kar rahi thi. 4. Waise bhi police ka constable 12vi fail hai, Jo rishwat de ke bharti hua tha. Usko cyber ka C samaj nahi aata. Wo aapko bahut gyan dene ki koshis karta hai. 5. Constable bolta hai. criminal ka phone number track nahi ho sakta ( kyonki sim kisi aur ke naam se hogi isi assumption se) phele hi hatiyar daal deti hai. 6. Laptop ka IP number track nahi ho sakta( VPN ke karan). 7. Maine bola: Paisa kisi account mai hi gaya hoga. Wo account kisi Bank ki kisi Branch mai hoga. Uska KYC bank mai hoga. Wo nikalwa lo. (IP ya phone number ke piche kyun bhag rahe ho). Par 12vi fail thulle ko samaj nahi aata ki problem ko solve karne ke liye you need to solve for"x" and not for "y". 8. Fir wo bolta hai uske paas aur bhi hazar case hain sirf mera hi case nahi hai. (Is liye wo 1000 mai se ek ko bhi time nahi de sakta). Isliye ek bhi case solve nahi hota. Shayad ek bhi solve ho jaye to 1000 fraud karne wala fraudster mil jaye. 9. Mere saath ho fraud hua. Uska transaction ka trail maine khud online ek din mai track kiya. #Gpay se #razorpay gate way wahan se Sare payments #payho payments ko gaye hain. 9. Ye sab research kar ke hamari chai samosa police investigation officer ko dikhai. Fraudster ka phone number nikal ke diya. Police ko bola ki tum fraudster ko call kar ke summon karo. To investigating officer bola ki mai call karunga to fraudster muje ko gali dega. 9. Finally mai samjh gaya ki india ki sirf neeta logon ki bandobast duty ke liye use hoti hai. Aam janta maa....... C...ye. 10. Agar mai criminal ko khud apne dum pe pakad ke police station mai le aaunga tab bhi in se kuch nahi hoga. 11. Is liye sawdhan rahein. Phir bhi paisa Agar nikal gaya to turant kaaryawahi karin payment block rawane ki koshish karein (bank se / payment gateway se). 12. Aur agar kuch na ho paye to khud ki research karne. Police ke bharose na rahen police ke paas 1000 aur cases hain... Aur aaj bandobast duty pe bhi jana hai.

मे मेडिकल स्टोर पे वर्क करता हु एक दिन एक कस्टमर आया वो मेरे मेडिकल का रेगुलर कस्टमर हे.... वो मुझे बोला कि मुझे एक मैसेज आया हे कि electricity बिल पे करने के लिए बोल रहा हे तो उसको मोबाइल का कुछ ज्ञान नहीं था तो वो भागते भागते मेरे पास आया और बोला कि electricity वाले का फोन आया हे ओर लाइट काटने की बात कर रहा हे ओर मोबाइल से एक ऐप डाउनलोड करने के लिए बोल रहा हे मुझे वो ऐप कैसे डाउनलोड करना ऐसा बता रहा था तो मैंने उस electricity customer care वाले से बात किया तो वो बोला कि सर Anydisc download करो ऐसे बोलने लगा मुझे समझ गया कि anydisc का काम क्या होता हे ओर वो fradstur हे मे तुरंत बोला कि मे डाउनलोड नही करूंगा और लाइट काट भी दिया तो मे इलेक्ट्रिसिटी ऑफिस जाके बिल भर दूंगा ऐसे करके मे मेरे मेडिकल के रेगुलर कस्टमर को उसे fradstur से बचाया और आज सर ने वही वीडियो बनाया thank you sir
