I was just about to say that. 10 pts is too much for first place, especially if second is only 6. Which means marble that got placed 1st and then 5th place, will move forward instead of marble that gets two 2nd places. Not fair, imo.

@@Shreyasrangasai That was just because Sentinel who got 1st place was placed last in second round. You need any of 1st spots to finish 6th in the other round to even have a chance of anyone else to go to the finals. And, even THEN, you need to have 2 second places, or you are out... I feel like 9 pts for first place would be much more fair to the competitors.

Y'all are forgetting the scenario when one mable finishes first both heats. There are many combinations then to determine second overall. Ultimately there are no right or wrong point systems. Some favor placing first others consistent good finishes. Either is fair. It is just a matter of personal taste.

I don't think it's broken: winning a heat probably gets you through. Under certain circumstances that doesn't happen. Shouldn't winning be an advantage?

@@RAD6150 ​ The problem is, what they advertised it at first. It's not about consistency, there is precisely one variant that allows anyone else to win who didn't get a gold on either event. It's if someone scored second place both times. No other combination of places, can beat a first, and last place. 10+1, is only beaten by 6+6, this shows that as soon as someone gets a gold, they're pretty much guaranteed a spot. It doesn't matter what their other run was. So, if you believe gold's are all that matters, and as soon as you get first place, you should move up. No it's not broken, it's working as intended. If you want someone who isn't a one hit wonder, better look elsewhere as that's not what this is about.

The point values for only 2 races make it almost guaranteed that the two 1st places will be the two to advance. It takes another marble getting 2nd both times to even MAYBE beat either 1st...and only if that 1st place marble is last in the other race.
