Interesting marriage-of-convenience film from 1970 starring Marlo Thomas and Alan Alda. Sound in only one speaker/headphone. I don't own this film but it's not on DVD so no copyright infringement intended at all.

I had never seen this before. Nice to watch a movie from a time when we had room to breath and everything wasn't so frenetic as today. A much better time. Thanks for posting.

I'll always remember watching this film in 1970 at the drive-in with my mom and dad; i was 11 years old. I remember not liking it much back then, but i always remembered the ending, the breastfeeding scene with fascination at never seeing it before. At the end of the movie, i asked my mom, "Did you do that with me, and how did it feel?" She turned and looked at me with a big smile as dad turned the key and we drove home. She never answered, but i knew the answer. Because of this film from that day forward, I was a breast man, no matter the size. 14 years later, i still marveled as my beautiful wife breast feed our two daughters. I hadn't seen this film since that night at the drive-ins. Thank you for uploading it.

reminds me of the theme from The Courtship of Eddie's Father (which I hadn't realized until just now is also by Nilsson!)

I don't understand the ending...? Why does she smile down at the baby, but look sad/hurt/upset at her husband with a tear rolling down her face? I thought they realized they cared for one another, and he seems to care about the baby?

Maybe his attempt to avoid draft didn’t work and he’s going to be shipped off 😰

I agree, I think in the end they found out that their scheme wasn’t going to work, and he would be drafted after all
