actual True melee is very powerful after WoF. with things like Bladetongue, Inferno Cutter, Submarine Shocker, Bucher's Chainsaw, Omniblade and Grand Guardian make all of HM a cake walk and at most time melt bosses in under half a minute easily. also there are 2 very good accessories you should get early especially as True melee, Deep Diver, it is the earliest Ram dash letting you dash through enemies and bosses without taking contact damage, and pair it with the Slagsplitter Pauldron to get a funny 2000 dps dash that also lowers enemy DR a lot.

Also good point on infernum, sure it’s difficult but like you said one, it doesn’t come with the mod and two, I generally feel that it’s a completely different experience from the base mod. In a sense, I feel like comparing the difficulty of base death mode with infernum isn’t a fair comparison cause of how completely different the bosses are.

Yeah multiple bosses are kinda buggy, like slime god or astrum deus, if one is far enough it despawns them so it counts as half health The boss itself escaping is actually a mechanic, if you are about to kill the last paladin it has it just fucks off and drops the loot, scared maggot
