I grew up in Fairfax County, and we would always hang out in those woods by Colchester Bridge. We all thought the stories were bullshit, made up by local homeowners to scare local teenagers from partying there. Until one night when my friend and I got separated from our other friends in the woods. We just tried to back track the way we came, but quickly realized we couldn't hear any of their voices anymore. Not five minutes later, we noticed someone was following behind us and that their footsteps in the leaves were getting louder and closer! At this point we just started running at full pace, getting sliced up by tree branches every few yards. As quickly as those footsteps became aggressive and threatening, they just seemed to disappear into thin air and we found our friends immediately after! This had to be sometime around 1994/95 and we all went to Paul VI and Woodson HS. Thanks for this!

Born & raised in Alexandria Virginia, 30 minutes at most from “bunny man bridge”.. Long story short, one Halloween night back in high school a group of us decided to go. We drove out there after a party & while the ride there & passing under the bridge itself was uneventful aside from it being very much so eerie & visually scary (the road becomes very narrowed almost so to where I’m almost certain only one car can go through at a time & it’s pitch black on the opposite side of the white tunnel. Also cant exactly remember whether or not the road ends there or we just immediately U-turned back around but I’d go with the latter) however on the ride back a random old tow truck, & when I say old I mean old old like jeepers creepers style literally to the T started speeding up behind us. Mind you the road we’re on is in the woods, single lanes two ways.. Very windy. & this truck starts gaining on us like with a purpose flashing headlights honking the horn, almost surely trying to run us off the road is what it felt like. I turned to try and see the driver but between them flashing the high beams & trying to also pay attention to what was ahead with the driver on such a sketchy road now doing 60-70 mph I couldn’t see shit.. Thank god we didn’t get into an accident & the guy or whatever eventually backed off & turned the lights off completely or turned or we just got that far away on that winding road that I just couldn’t see & we quite literally & figuratively “got out of the woods.” Now, I can’t say for certain who or what that was that chased us out of there.. but I can tell you that we were chased. Was it some local or kids who did the same thing or mess with people who come visiting? Idk, I’ve used those to try and rationalize the experience cause I lean towards being skeptic & logical.. Somethings defy logic though. Just my experience, take it or leave it.. share your own if you’ve been *edit -not so short story

I also took a railroad spike as a souvenir 100% recommend the trip if you’re into the urban legend just make sure to park further a head of the road if you plan on getting out and be kind to residents of the area since the bridge is right against private property. If you are reading this Mr. Freaky thanks so much for this video it was the reason I really wanted to go because of me living within 2 hours of the place. The Bunny Man, by your and my assumptions, does seem to be the most credible urban legend I've heard yet. And I've also heard of other urban legends including reclusive human beings. Those include Le Loyon of Switzerland and "Charlie No-Face" of Pennsylvania. The difference is that Le Loyon and Charlie were actually kind individuals, but the Bunny Man seems the opposite. I do also believe that insane asylum nearby may have something to do with it. It seems either Marcus Loster faked his death and wrote that note to escape capture or Marcus was actually killed by Douglas Griffin in which the latter escaped into the woods and took on the persona of the legend, thus meaning one of them could the BUNNY MAN! But if it was said that he was run over by a train yet could be heard laughing in the background, I have two theories. Perhaps the Bunny Man faked his death to outsmart the cops and was mocking them OR.....well all I can say is that bridge may be HAUNTED today! I still wouldn't dare go to that bridge at night! Considering the Bunny Man may be still lurking there in ANY form!
