I once read somewhere that Space Mountain uses a lot of illusions to make the ride seem more than it is. It's actually a slow ride but air blown in your face makes it seem like it's going faster. Plus the fact you're in the dark messes with your senses. Perhaps take it in a direction involving sensory deprivation and hallucinations?

I have a theory The walls of space mountain move after a specific amount of time and the car goes in. When it goes in for any other people and devices it looks the same but for a person in a particular seat sees something so terrifying happened that the people screamed till they couldn’t anymore but they never leave........ Max Landis said he went on Space Mountain at 2am while it was getting tested when he was a child. Because his father is John Landis. Anyway, he wrote a Space Mountain movie script where the train is a space transport that moves faster than light, and the people who came out the other side eventually start mutating because the human soul cannot travel that fast and got left behind on Earth.

That was really good O: I think maybe he also goes on it to see what *really* happens, and the same thing happens to him, but not *all* the way. So he explains everything that happens, and then if theres a part three, maybe say that the whole thing went viral and got seen as a “disney conspiracy theory” or one of those urban legends. Just a thought but, perhaps the ride had 2 separate tracks and the man split into 2 when he got on.... his body and his voice and soul... so you can still hear him scream but its drowned out by the rest of the screams and hes stuck forever.

I'll speculate that Space Mountain is designed to transport people sitting in a that specific seat into another place (either somewhere in our dimension or in another one), where flow of space-time is a third as fast as it is on earth, and where strange entities that can possess humans and cause the strange behavior exhibited by the narrator's sister and father after their experiences.

I do have an interesting idea or proposition take it as you will, perhaps it is some form of Eldridge creature of some form that had laid dormant for quite some, during the construction of the park it would have been awakened by something either it be the construction of Space Mountain or something completely different, this creature in my mind would have no physical form or general appearance, and if that were so the only thing it can do is feed off the voices, and that's why it's been alive so long, think of it as a pennywise like being that feeds off of a form of emotion but instead of emotion it feeds off of the voices that people make eventually absorbing or consuming peoples voices, and I believe if this idea were to be used then the reason the father spoken would be because of this creature's influence and not his own action, but this is just an idea I thought I could suggest. P.S. The reason I think it wouldn't have a physical form or appearance is because it would be way scarier not to know what exactly scares you, but you know you're in some form of danger you just don't know why.

I don’t think it would be a doupleganger because it seemed like the father could still recognize his son and remembered about the phone but with the pop And is the screaming normal for that ride? I’ve never been able to go to Disney anything except once so maybe that specific cart gets teleported somewhere else or there’s some kinda portal in that area that opens after the rides been powered up so many times that’s all I can think to suddenly become mute and what seems like a vegetable almost is to be severely traumatized....maybe they get transported to cartoon mans world and that’s where he came from? Like if you suddenly got transported to a carnival run by the cartoon people and with that one first story I heard with the Farris wheel guy and the little boy unzipping a duffel bag of tools in the middle of a makeshift surgery area? Maybe they somehow opened a ride in their own world and that’s where they take all the bodies then they throw them on a display for whatever the rides called in their twisted world mmmm like the makings of cartoon people
