When she explains how she approaches drumming for other bands compared to Sleater-Kinney, it's pretty evident by the sound of their latest singles why she had to leave. I love this interview, and I am so sad she left, in my opinion, her greatest band. I completely understand why.

7:52 That generic drum sound is exactly what I don't like about a lot of EDM. EDM would sound so cool if it was actually performed by musicians. I know that sounds like a contradiction in terms, but I'd like to hear music which was created as EDM, but ultimately performed by human musicians. Even though Janet Weiss was a great drummer for Sleater Kinney, I am kind of glad that she left because I feel her position in the band was overshadowed by Carrie and Corin.
