@@jonasaras you may be right. They were still young and a bit cocky then. And I do think Fred Hersch is one of the most underrated pianist that was beshadowed by guys like Jarrett, and his a big influence on Brad Mehldau. Regarding Sullivan, he is like a modern Jaki Byard, a brilliant pianist who has an encyclopedic knowledge of the piano, has absorbed all the repertoire and gives his personal version of it all.
