It's been years since I've seen this. Still absolutely amazing. Sounds like a freaking guitar or violin solo done on small pipes.

Fred's a serious piper. Highly regarded,rewarded and acclaimed. But he's also got an unconventional streak combined with a sense of humour. And this is the epitome of the latter. Am i loving this or am I LOVING it?! Long live King Fred!!!

This is a classic piece -great technical ability and skill-delivered with humour and verve !!The Fred Morrison Band is also one of the most exciting musical ventures I have encountered in the past decade-it will enliven the international music scene-across genres - and its all embracing nature will open up a new world of appreciation for the pipes as a versatile instrument in the hands of a master of his craft

I have to say that I really love this guys extremely musical playing. I don't feel a need to argue this point with any so-called "pipers". And to festnos10 who made the comment about a circus act, get bent dude. If all you have is a snide remark that no one finds funny, get outta town. Leave the business of piping to those who know how to pipe, like this guy.

SOme of the tunes probably. However, borderpipes can do a fully chromatic scale where the highland pipes can't. I did notice a couple C naturals which really can't be played on the highland pipes.

It's really good but after 2-3 times through the "improvved bits" you kind a wish he'd switch tunes... Fred is not doubt one of the top shelf pipers out there, though. Him, Gordo and Armstrong are amongst my faves. :-)
@jeffreyhughesnc17 жыл бұрын
They're not Uillean Pipes, they're reel pipes specially designed by Fred Morrison and produced by McCallum. Not to be a know it all... though I should also point out that "alot" is "a lot".
@AlbertoAblanedo18 жыл бұрын
No, those aren't uilleann. Fred also plays uilleann pipes, but not that time
@pmbear18 жыл бұрын
Odd time signature? No...He is still playing in reel time... just real FAST reel time... as for eastern timing... uhh Fred is from Uist, and that isn't really "East anything" if you know what I mean... :-)
