You guys always have awesome videos, and I learn something more every time. Would you guys be willing to go over a build video? I'm curious as to how you scratch build from plans i.e. how you cut all the ribs. Scroll saw? Laser cutter? Also, maybe some builders' tips?

We have a build video in the works. And typically a scroll saw. We can do some builders tips as well.

I like that one!! It reminds me the Don Muddiman Flying Machine, I had one and regretfully sold it but I have the plans to build another one…. It a little bigger but it flies just like the grasshopper… Might build one of each and compare lol… keep it on with the good videos.

Try some Ballistol Multi-Purpose Oil, available from Amazon for the wheels and axles. The rubber FF flyers use it for the prop shaft bearings and is safe for most plastics.

WOW!! She’s a little too fast for my abilities, but she sure is impressive. That SH sure brings her to life. I hope SH lightens up their engines a bit. They are a bit heavy.

This looks very similar to the Sig Doubler. I got a hot Supertigre X 15 that would drop right in. Lotsa power, and a tuned pipe for more power! And if you're looking for high-speed, go with a 7-6 prop. Now we're talkin'!

Hi I'm so glad your back you guys have great videos and content, but when you do videos at the work bench can you do a few close up shots for us to see what your talking about. Engines, wheels etc. And what radios do you use. Thanks guys looking forward to your next!!

Hey guys, I'm enjoying this series. Got question regarding micro servos, I've only used Hitec HS 65MG and I've had a couple of failures. It seems they don't handle the vibration from a glow engine very well. Ant thoughts or advice? Thanks
@mattkmbmrc8535
@mattkmbmrc8535 2 жыл бұрын
I have never used the hs 65 but the hitec micros we use never had a problem knock on wood.

For glow power, you need stronger servos. The spec sheet may tell you it will put out 40 oz of torque, you need a beefy gear train to handle the load. HS-81's work well for me. Although, there's plenty to choose from.

@@richard1472 Thank you. I'll keep that in mind. I use standard size servos on my larger planes but I recently built a small Champ with a .25 glow engine and that's the one I've had servo failures with.
