Roy Perry did us all a great service in arranging this piece. I treasure my copy and I always remember him when I play it. I met him when I was a teenager.

I don't think anyone has ever played this great piece better. I've heard Mr. Swann play it a number of times, and he's never failed to move me deeply. It should be said, too, that he played it regularly when few others did...

Agreed -- I think in some ways he helped establish it as a staple of the great concert repertoire.

Rest in peace William Teague. William Teague performed this work for the second pre-dedicatory concert at The Auditorium Organ in January, 1960. Aeolian Skinner, opus 1309, Independence, MO US. The Aeolian Skinner instrument heard in this recording is opus 1308.
