I've met Fred "The Hammer" Williamson several times, but this was the first time I had a chance to do an interview with him, and it was a lot of fun. We talked about his football career, how he got the nickname "The Hammer" and his three rules when appearing in a film.
Frederick Robert Williamson (born March 5, 1938), also known as "the Hammer", is an American actor and former professional football defensive back who played mainly in the American Football League (AFL) during the 1960s.
