Im good friends with Freddies grand son and we used to play a song of his called 'Fly On the Wall'. Reading a book on Freddie atm. He was a bit of a genius really!

I knew his grandson in Aspen back in '88 or so. Worked at my antique store for a little while if I remember correctly. "Mickey"

It's from Gold Diggers in Paris (1939). Freddie Fisher was my uncle (my fathers' brother.)

OK, you got your Hugh Herbert and yer Rudy Vallee -- should be able to IMDB this based on that info. Seems to be something called "Gold Diggers In Paris." 1938 is the date given.

I have never seen footage of this band perform before. I have long suspected that NRBQ was the closest equivalent to Freddie and his band in recent times!
