Great review guys!! can't believe Ken didn't dig this lol smh, like C-Town said I thought it'd be Feefo.. but finally a review that said this is better than Pinata cuz it is, though Pinata has some of Freddie's best tracks ever! but yeah production wise its so experimental and more layered and just diverse & Freddie as an emcee, this is by far miles ahead of anything he's ever done lyrically, his flow I felt was a bit better and just the most unique & conscious he's ever been, he was touching on lots of real issues going on, def not just gangsta shit.. I think this is an insta classic, well Pinata took a lil while before it could be considered 1.. shout out to MadGibbs!!

Just like the album, I highly anticipated this review! Great job guys. Am surprised it didn't click with Ken, "you may need to retire from deadend hip-hop" 🤣🤣

Freddie did what DOOM was scared to do... FOLLOW UP
@ivanilsoncoimbra42135 жыл бұрын
Man it's Madvillain it's hard if I was Doom probably won't do the follow up

@Antoine Groot Only issue with DOOM's case is he and Madlib already acknowledged trying to. So it never coming would just look like he is admitting it to himself. Madlib claimed he sent him beats already. Madlib has been operating at a very high level multiple years in a row now, looking at their catalogues, and output I doubt he is the one holding it up. the Pinata/Bandana/Montana trilogy as a whole has the chance to get rid of Madvillainy's shadow people still try to hold over them. I think DOOMSTARKS had the possibility as well but thats a whole nother bag we shouldnt open.

That's so stupid that people get mad at what equipment/technology a producer uses. It's about the ideas/creativity and quality of the fuckin' beat. With that said, I go back to Pinata way more than this.

First 10 seconds and I’m mind f’ed in the head. If MF DOOM were still alive he’d make a better project. Bandana still one of my fav albums of 2019 tho. Great production. Great rapping.

this album did exactly what it needed to. Fred and Madlib are a top tier duo.

I think Bandana is great, but I liked Pinata better, mostly beat-wise.

Killer Mike was perfect on that hook on Palmolive. Thought he’d have a verse, but pusha and Freddie went in enough

Madlib probably originally sent the education beat to Kanye in 2016 with all those beat tapes and Kanye didn’t use it. Kanye then probably he to remake the beat that he denied from Madlib originally and he used it bonjour WHILE Freddie and Madlib had already used the beat in their own also but didn’t know Kanye remade the track. I get the feeling education was recorded before/ at the same time of bonjour but bonjour was released before education so it made it kinda awkward cuz Madlib originally made the beat.

Unbelievable album and thank you guys for the review as always! I personally think that Pusha and Freddie were pretty even, but to keep it a buck I have Freddie over Black Thought on Education.

I love the beginning with the general warning statement. that was pretty dope.

It takes a couple of listen to really take it all in because of the complexity of the beats and rhymes, its just different then pinata and just as good pinata. It feels like a good extension to pinata, my only gripe for the album is it could have had a better closing song.

I think Freddie mentioned that they were in the studio together when these beats came together

It actually wasn't the first time Black Thought rapped on a Madlib beat. Saukrates feat. Krondon and Black Thought - Clean Up @beezy
