Yeah - she could not help herself from "lip-synching" while he sang... they were so in love! you can hear it, and also see it the way they looked at each other.. and Freddie's tender picking up and kissing her hand!

Montserrat was Freddie's favorite opera singer. He knew beauty when he heard it, & so did she. So do you, James, and all of us who've always loved Freddie's voice.💙 You should do "The Golden Boy", another of their collaborations. It starts out as opera then turns into a gospel- like song.
@ZENOBlAmusic5 жыл бұрын
The Golden Boy and Ensueno, along with this one, is properly my favorites from the album, because Freddie actually uses his Baritone opera voice on those songs.

I watched a video recently where the commentator said he didn't do a follow up to Barcelona because he realised he wasn't good enough ! WHAT ! I don't know what he was listening to because Freddie just combined two worlds and did it with an empathy and respect that is very seldom seen.

It's so nice to see young people experience a taste of music they never thought about delving into and come out shocked by how it plays with your very soul it is so beautiful. Freddie wrote this entire pop opera. Only he could write lyrics like that and write the scores to all the accompaniment. He was a flat-out genius. At this point in his life, he knew he didn't have a lot of time left and took his love for opera and intertwined it with his great style, and left it for all of us to treasure. Freddie will live in all our hearts till the end of time. Montserrat Caballe is one of the greatest opera voices in all the world, You must review Barsolina, where these two did the opening number for the Olympics, Trust me JB it will blow your mind as this song did. Do yourself a big favor and review it.

Astounding! Just perfection of how their voices blended and how a diva like her was so spellbound by Freddie! He was already diagnosed at this point. Caballe herself said in an interview that while they sang, she said she saw a tear run down Freddie's cheek. When they are holding hands at 3:13 of the actual video, you can see in his face and eyes that he knew that would be his last live performance.

JB...I love you. I so enjoy watching you listen to new music. I have listened to different genres of music for quite a few years now, and never cease to be amazed. My playlist is like a melting pot of eras, genres, countries, and crazy music. I am also glad to meet someone that is a new fan of Queen & Freddie Mercury. Although I was a preteen, teen, and young adult when they were most popular, I never really appreciated them...especially Freddie. I just liked the most popular songs, but never really appreciated the greatness of the music, lyrics, and performance quality. Now, for about 3 months, I have totally fallen in love with Freddie...teeth and all...lol. When I found the new video the other day that was just released earlier this year, I nearly fainted! Then, of course I cried listening to it. Ya see, I have been battling cancer for almost 3 years and definitely realize time isn't waiting for me, just as it didn't wait for Freddie. I cry for us both when I hear that song. Thanks for reacting to that, by the way. I am so very delighted that you are finding joy in all this music that you are duscovering. Luckily, I have been exposed to a variety all my life. Keep searching these songs buddy. I find that when I discover a new form I've never heard, I become filled with light and happiness. Lately, I have been enjoying some African music as well as African dance videos. You should try those! They're great. Anyway...good luck on your music journey.

This is why when people ask who is better MJ or Freddie, I always have to go with Freddie....We don't know how MJ would sound in this surrounding....could he pull it off? I don't know. MJ was awesome don't get me wrong, I loved him, but Freddie was angelic, there was just something "Divine" about him that no one could get close to being like, and don't think anyone ever will. I know we have Adam Lambert and Marc Martel, that can sound like Freddie and do his songs, but they will never have the power in their voice, the showmanship, the passion or that divine aura around them that mesmerizes people. They will always be 2nd to him. But I am a bit bitter with Marc because I have yet to see him honor Freddie, he rather does a "Look at me I can sing like him" attitude, at least in an interview Adam said he was honored to sing Freddie's songs with the band and what a Legend Freddie will always be. Just my opinion on Marc, maybe has expressed his love for Freddie and his music and I just haven't come across it, so if he has, I apologize to his fans, but if not, I will never be a fan of his.
