I spend the night at the site of an ancient farm while trying to fix my waterlogged gear, before heading off to Studland and catch the ferry to Sandbanks.

I’m 55 years and an ocean away from you reflecting on rides I’ve taken in my time because of your work. While you have the advantage of great cameras for you to remember it all try to somehow record the feel of the machine, cold air on your face, and the time alone when only little worries were in your life. Thank you for returning me to early morning rides between farms with those sometimes rude aromas people in automobiles never get. Thank for making me remember.

I really felt for you in that terrible weather and I had a felling you might opt out of camping but I still can't believe the farmer didn't make you a sandwich and stored your bike under cover. Have people lost the ability to host these days.

And, many thanks to Monika for melding this all together to a compiled video!! Freddie, we love you and your explorations! We now need to see you cleaning the bike after this journey through rain and puddles, muddy lanes and Motorways. The Classic T100 Motorbike is to be revered and respected and loved and used!! Thanks from NZ!

That farm stay was a real gem. You actually explored a refuge area. Where development had not destroyed the area. Time goes slow and special attributes survive. The weather and sunshine and greenery and unmolested landscape is actually like parts of southern Australia....in Winter inbetween a rain front, it will be warm and sunny for days.

Rainbow biker themed cafe, East Knighton, 10 minutes away from you Airbnb. I'm a Luddite so always carry a small note pad and pencil in a waterproof plastic bag to make notes on things I've forgotten to carry, places, people and roads of interest, phone numbers and ideas that spring into my head that I'll probably forget so scribbling down some notes just makes me happy. I lived in Bovington and worked at the Gunnery School at Lulworth so know every inch of the area. Tom's Field campsite, Bredy Farm, Chapmans Pool, Square & Compass, Worth Matravers, Abbotsbury/Burton Bradstock coast road, S-Bomb Poole...... the list goes on. Enjoy your adventure 🧭🛣⛺️

It's great to see you using your Bonneville to get wherever you want to go. I couldn't help but smile and think about Joe and Emily when I saw all that muck all over your bike, but that's what travelling is about, and getting the most out of the journey. Yet another great video and a real pleasure to see your bike back on the road.

Cold Comfort Farm! I'll be swerving that one if they can't manage a breakfast. About 30 years ago I stayed on the coast near there in a slightly run-down hotel which back in its glory days had been the starting point for the float plane service to the US. Probably redeveloped by now. Sandbanks' appeal is really its relative proximity to London. Devon, Cornwall & large parts of Wales can all offer better coastline. Get a proper front mudguard, that shorty is allowing your front wheel to act like a hosepipe on your engine. Great film once again despite your technical problems. Take care.

Sometimes on a wel planned trip almost nothing seems to work out right. After a short time of dissapointment or even being pissed of. You adapted, change plans, or just wing it. Go to the right in stead of the left. Usually there are only one or two days on a trip that comes close to feeling perfect. And its those days that made the trip worth while.

Glad you didn’t get caught up in that wreck Freddie. That’s always scary. I was riding along the interstate in Ohio once, when a semi trailers inner rear tire blew right next to me. Scared the hell out of me. Luckily it was the inner tire and not the outer or I might not be here today. It was fun dodging bits of rubber tire at 80 mph. Now that I’ve finished my Sunday ritual of watching you , I’m gonna go clean my bike. You should do the same.lol 😁

Harry Redknapp lives in Sandbanks. That's how I found out about it several years ago. I'm a Londoner but my familiarity with that part of Dorset stems from being in the Army Cadets in secondary school back in the early '70s. My cadet unit was affiliated to the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment which is based in Bovington (where the Lawrence of Arabia memorial is located.) We went down there for a week, got to ride around on tanks at the training ground, attended a display of the abilities of new armoured vehicles at the MOD gunnery range in Lulworth Cove, and visited the Tank Musuem. I've also holidayed in Bournemouth/Boscombe since then.

Glad you managed to stay away from the pileup; I’m guessing on the M27. Ride safe and thanks for your great videos. I now need to find Part 1 😉

The land you saw from Swanage beach was the Isle of Wight looking directly at the Needles lighthouse. Around 250m to the left of the shop in Studland village is the home of Jonathan Ross. Immediately after coming off the chain ferry onto Sandbanks … the 2nd house on the left used to belong to Harry Redknapp. He now lives about 2 miles further along from there. Many of the houses by the ferry are now summer rentals. I have rented 1 for a week a few years ago. Just where you parked the bike overlooking Poole Harbour is a popular area for very large groups of people to meet to watch the sunsets during the summer months.

I thought the Drunken Sailor song was pretty crappy and didn't really match the visuals...

At the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, I was chatting to the lovely guy who detailed your bike prior to handing over. Looks like you make need to make a double booking with him. Those insta cameras are indeed brilliant but I think the 8K is for the whole 360 field of view. Once you select the view you want, it's probably less than 2K. As always, very entertaining. I hope the Rode Wireless microphones eventually dry out and work again

So am I right in thinking that you swapped a breakfast for 2 paracetamols? Surely the host would/should have given you both?🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻 For £65 it’s the least the host could have done imo.

I used that small ferry last year in the other direction, first stopover was Bournemouth then along the coast via sandbanks and Studland over to the west coast as i ventured down towards lands end. Maybe on your next camping trip you can use the tent and make up for some of the cost from this one, lets face it, you have camped in the wingman before (The New Forest I recall)

Man oh man, why can't we in the USA have such quaint and beautiful little towns along backroads like you in the UK do? I'm quite jealous. Brilliant video, Freddie! Nice to see that you are getting some real use out of that rebuilt Bonnie. I'll bet that you are making Joe proud.

As all the top gear (original crew) will tell you, when things do not go as planned you get the best content!! I will recommend you always have paracetamol, a bottle of water, and a meal bar or two in your bags 🙂
