I must say, the KZbin game these days is very competitive. Lot’s of people with the same kind of channels. Travelling, van life, off grid living etc. Click bait until the horizon to attract views. But Freddie, the attitude, refreshing, stylish but humble. Honest when it comes to prices, the residence, food, the overall experience. It’s like watching a documentary about travels. Definitely deserving more view’s for the effort and filming! Even if it’s not about motorcycles. I definitely see him working for a television channel travelling the world and making nice documentaries 😊. (Watching from the 🇳🇱)

Many years ago as a teenager i worked in a petrol station. Serving fuel to save for my firstly motorbike. The shop on the side sold 3 different premium oul brands Every service item you could want for most makes of car. Waxes polishes abd leathers fir cleaning your own car. No food. No cigarettes No alcohol. And in addition to serving petrol we checked tyres, checjed oil and mixed 2 stroke premix for motorcycles. This wasn't unusual. What you see in morocco is an example of how lazy we have become abd how bad uk service stations are. Very sad Enjoy your trip. It's a great country. 👍

Great comment. You’re so right, as I was reading I was transported back to when I first got on to 2 and 4 wheels and the shelf and rack space at a petrol station was filled with oil, car wash cleaner, sponges, shammy leathers, buckets, oils, car fresheners, etc. Now they are either an extension to the adjoining supermarket, or are 24 hour off-licences. I suppose with a great many cars that are now company cars, or leases and PCPs, where the driver isn’t the owner and it won’t ever be their car, the pride in ownership has also disappeared along with all the accessories needed to clean and look after your vehicle.

Back in 1973 I also worked in a petrol station, Brown's Garage in Willesden, while at college. Yes, they supplied all those services but in the end when the Corporations introduced self service to maximise their return the independents couldn't afford the staff wages.

If you had this in the UK - people blocking pathways and selling whatever they can, dogs fighting in the streets, people parking at random wherever they liked, takes ages to drive a short distance with the congestion, smoking everywhere, no concern for safety driving or on bikes, etc, most British people would be complaining - 'visual feast' or chaos? Your enthusiasm knows no bounds guys, however I couldn't help but feel worried about the sinister looks you were as you walked around. Is it something that bothers you Freddie and Monica? I actually wouldn't go there myself for purely that reason Great vlog though of course Regards Gary

I think it’s just the sight of a foreigner in a very local area- the locals are usually interested to know where one’s from. I like it:)

I suspect it's as much the sight of a gregarious foreigner waving his arms about talking to camera. You've got to admit Freddie is an unusual sight.

Morocco actually has a better history when it comes to women's freedom and protection than many other Muslim countries. (They are Sunni). They even passed an anti-street harassment act not long ago!

Nice video Freddie. If you want to add some scenic footage on your way to Merzouga i advice you to take a few stops in the atlas mountains between Marrakech and Ouarzazate. There is a cafe/bar at the Auberge in Toufliht where you can get a cold beer and enjoy a scenic view. Further up the atlas mountain you can stop for a lunch at Assanfou near the mountain summit. If you really want to see some awesome stuff you should check the movie location of the petrol station from the movie The hills have eyes. It is on your way to Ouarzazate. Takes a small deviation of 20 minutes but definitely worth the drive. Feels like you’re somewhere in New Mexico. Awesome stuff

Thank you so much for all of this- I’ve noted this all down👌🏻 I saw this “Hills Have Eyes” mention on Google maps and wondered what it was!

I am travelling to Morocco since the mid 80’s with my father who is from the south of Morocco. I advice you to buy a temporary local simcard for your phone and use the 4G network. Its much more reliable than most wifi networks. Costs only a few pounds and you can top it up when you run out of GB’s. I think 10GB’s of data is about 100 dirhams

Morocco has a better history of allowing women freedoms (it's a majority Sunni country) and allowing minority Faiths, than many other Muslim countries.
