Love you are back in Tenerife Fred . Fred I no a car hire company out there and they are fantastic English fella from Liverpool runs a hire company called sanasty car hire Tenerife in los Cristianos. He is fantastic you don’t que at the airport he drops it at the car park outside the terminal keys left above the wheel . No deposit or credit card needed or trying to sell you insurance. You pay when you arrive by popping to the office or over the phone. He has a you tube channel called the knight Stryder Tenerife. You will not be disappointed he also has a bar called buddies

Great to see you back there - I watched all your old vids about the island & made notes of where to go, what to see etc when I was there in early October; even managed to visit that wee cafe 'Casa Santiago' way up in the mountains in the north of the island; I ate in many restaurants all over but the simple, inexpensive food they served there was the best tasting and most memorable of my entire trip - so thank you so much for all the effort you put into these vids; you made my trip so much more interesting. I have been to the island before but never had the time to explore. I always hire cars from Auto Riesen @ either airport - they are superb and very cheap; my Seat cost me £9.75 a day! I will come back again and will definitely tour the Anaga forest again - the forest that smells of bay leaves 😃 Cheers

Another nice video! We have had good luck with Autoreisen in Tenerife for car rentals. No fuss, full coverage included, and decent cars. Tenerife is a lovely island, especially the north if you want to escape mass tourism (still lots of people, but not crazy). I look forward to the next video in the series.

Oh how I love the Canary Islands. The scenery and the roads are simply off the charts and as a bonus the weather is as close to perfect as it gets. Watching your vlog, I’m going to start my planning for a 2025 trip, most likely back to Gran Canaria with a a motorcycle booking for the duration. Keep up the great work Freddie & Monika.

Freddie, investigate Autoreisen next time. We use them in Lanzarote and there, the full insurance is low cost as is the car rental - enjoy the sun! Oh and when you are stocking up on wine, see if they have Bermejo (secco) white wine - its pretty good!

I hope you have a wonderful time! And also, I hope you photographed every centimeter of that rental car, because Sixt can be very stingy about that and blame you for stuff you didnt even do. Also, regarding the condition of their vehicles, I often do transports for them and almost every car looks as smashed up as yours and sometimes even worse :D

So, an apartment under the flight path, hmmmm earplugs at the ready folks. "Do You Spain" are a good on line company for hire cars- Gold Car are their preferred rental company. You DO still get the hard sell on insurance from Gold Car, BUT, with an annual excess insurance costing around £60, which covers glass, tyres exhaust etc etc you are well covered. We hired in Mallorca recently-£80 for ten days.

I used to rent an apartment in Santo Cruz for £25 a week back in the 80's and rent a Renault 4 from Rent a Wreck , pre damaged 😁 . Much busier and developed nowadays . Have a marvellous holiday .

That's funny, I had the exact same experience when renting a car in Tenerife a few years ago. The guy wanted to sell me extra insurance and he was extremely pushy, but I managed to turn his extra extremely expensive insurance down. He said I was crazy lol, but I also got a car completely covered in scratches and dents as well. So took some pics and went back to show how bad the car was. And he suddenly was lost for words. Made me laugh. Tenerife is a beautiful Island though, would love to go back!

good thing about living in the uk your so near to other countries, here in new zealand we are bottom of the world so travel expensive for us
