Freddy was surprised at the fact that there was an endoskeleton inside Foxy. Therefore, he is either not aware that he is also an animatronic, or in this canon he actually isn't one.

It's supposed to be a cartoon with the character, Freddy the bear. Animatronics are just artistic representations of fictional characters meant to imitate something that is living. Freddy is a bear, but all the animatronics that were made in all the restaurants are robots that are supposed to imitate a cartoon bear. Foxy being a robot is a reference to Scooby-Doo by showing something scary as being not what it seems to be, like Foxy being a robot and not an actual fox, while also be a real life representation of animatronic vs what they are attempting to disguise as.

I like how Foxy is kinda of a antagonist to the other characters, kinda like McDonald’s Hamburgeler, that explains a lot of thinks, like why he is alone in a separate stage, and why he is always out of order, since he is a antagonist children might not like him that much, so fixing him isn’t a priority, and it also explains why he rarely appears in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza promotional material and why he doesn’t even apear in the Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza logo seen in the cover of the survival logbook, I can also imagine The Pirate’s Cove, witch is a separate room in The Silver Eyes, being a hangout for the parents, as indicated by Foxy's cove cooler, with Foxy telling some adult jokes, kinda like the Cabaret room in the early days of Chuck E. Cheese’s Pizza Time Theater in the late 70’s and early 80’s.

Okay hear me out... when the freddy sign (security breach logo) blinks in an order, could they mean arrow directions? so freddy's left arm is LEFT ARROW freddy's torso is DOWN ARROW (because it's pointing down) surrounding triangle is UP ARROW freddy's right arm is RIGHT ARROW and the sequence that it blinks in is: LEFT, DOWN, UP, LEFT, RIGHT idk if that does anything but there's a way to hide easter eggs in websites, known as The Konami Code where a webpage will listen out for certain keys to be pressed and it will respond once the correct sequence has been entered. this could be a sequence for now or later?

Something that could make the theory true is that Bonnie has whiskers, just like Nightmare Bonnie has them. EDIT: Now that I realize the title shown on the Fnaf 4 TV only says "Fredbear's & Friends", while this cartoon has the title "Freddy & Friends", so it is likely that they are not the same show.
