For anyone saying you need to “be rich” in order to add luxury I promise you don’t!! I’m only 19 and definitely not rich but you can find wonderful things second hand and hidden gems in the charity shops to decorate, or beautiful glass wear and luxurious items of clothing! It’s just about keeping a look out!

yup! Start small, and be mindful! Right now I’m looking for some cute girly hair accessories, and guess what? The dollar store has some very cute minimal things! I’m not going to buy expensive because I simply can’t, but doing cute things to elevate my look in cheap ways will make me feel more put together and luxurious! ❤

I LOVED at his video! Everything you had to say about creating and living a luxurious life was spot on. My 99 year old mother-in-law always said, just like you did, “don’t wait for special occasions to use your fine china, beautiful crystal, fancy placemats, good silver, expensive perfume and candles. Everyday is special”… and by god she always used her formal china and sterling silver every day! I have gotten into the habit of using my fine things every day if possible… and living my “luxury life.” As a retired interior designer, I find your style and aesthetic stunning - you have a great eye for interiors and decor. I look forward to seeing if you add to your new fashion collection.. I hope to buy one of your lovely dresses. Hugs from Florida, Mary. PS: I loved your video with Josie as you traveled to Palm Beach! It’s one of my favorite places in FL… I knew you and Josie would fit right in!

Mary, that piece of advice was the only thing that was helpful about this video. The rest was all about spending.

I think out of all of the helpful advice you gave us, gratitude was the most important one. We often tend to forget that there are so many people who have it worse or who would already consider the "mundane" things we take for granted a luxury.🎀💕

I LOVED this video! I come from a really rough background, and I have been conditioned to think that I can't have good things, and that I should only be concerned with te bare essentials until "the future". This video shows me that life is too short (and I have learned that the hard way from recent personal problems). I've been thinking for a long time that there are plenty of little things I could be doing to glam up my surroundings, but I keep using excuses to avoid them. Thanks for this video, Freddie! (Also: I am a HUGE Jane Austen fan!)

You have no idea how much your lifestyle has inspired me. Its not only the asthetic (that also has) but the idea of creating a beautiful reality here and now because beauty, luxury and happiness dont need special occasions to be enjoyed. Now is the special occasion
@ReyBeltane2 жыл бұрын
I'm in two minds about this video. Honestly most of it was absolutely lovely. I think you give some brilliant tips about not saving things for a special occasion, treating yourself to at-home brunches, making time for selfcare, having quiet time with a book, listening to classical music, and pampering yourself with favourite scents, textures (silk or otherwise) and little treats you've saved for. ..HOWEVER... A lot of this advice is also a bit impossible for most people (let alone impractical). You're thirty; I imagine most of us are in our 20s & 30s too. That means most of us are still renting, living with parents, or living with partners, pets or children--how many of us can actually replace all our doorknobs and light fixtures? I'm not even allowed to hang anything on the walls of my flat. How many of us just have bottles of expensive champagne lying around if we aren't influencer who are sent them? For most people, practicality shouldn't be totally eschewed when buying homeware--having inexpensive things you love and trying to thrift is wonderful advice! But getting pretty things you KNOW you'll have to replace, instead of something that lasts isn't a great idea. Most people in their 20s and 30s will move house several times (with friends, partners, flatmates), and will need their things to stand the test of time until they're lucky enough to maybe buy a home one day. Also, absolutely no one is wearing short shorts as officewear and fresh flowers are largely unaffordable during an energy crisis. 😞 Overall, I think your lifestyle is luxurious because that's your job! But the rest of us, who are renting and working 9-5, do not have lives that can look like this very often. Except for curling up with a good book. Always good advice
@ania50382 жыл бұрын
Agreed she's not even 30 actually she's 28 (same age as me lol)! I see this as more of an aspirational video for me because I definitely won't be investing in a house for at least a couple years but it's something nice to look forward to one day hopefully...
@annemariesant98362 жыл бұрын
Exactly my thoughts. A lot of these ideas are aimed at people who live alone and own their own house and have spare money to waste on silly stuff. The ideas are good but at the end of the day it's just her opinion of luxury that's based on her personal lifestyle and nothing else.
@user-zw8uc4rm1m2 жыл бұрын

Hi Freddy! I absolutely love your videos. If I may just give a small piece of advice for your pearls. Pearls are created by a living organism and therefore are sort of living too. They need care in a way other gemstones don’t. I noticed you sprayed perfume while wearing your lovely pearl necklace. This ruins the pearls. If you keep doing it, the pearls will eventually lose their lustre and beauty. They will sort of look matte and dull. Also hairspray will damage them. So put on hair products and perfume before you put on your pearls. Anyway, much love to you, your lovely family, JJ, and of course Cinderella.

Totally agree with Minerva It’s about learning to love ourselves and our places. Ladies even if it means going to thrift stores. I have found totally new pieces. Got myself a gorgeous silk blouse for $6, found a gorgeous faux fur coat, found beautiful leather and suede jackets. Even found a wool/cashmere brand new coat in off white, for $12. Don’t get sad or discourage. Use her videos to get inspired instead. I bought myself pearls, and pretty cream colors winter pieces and feel so glamorous I can’t believe it! At the thrift store look for silk, cotton, linen or cashmere & wool. Real fine fabrics pieces and you will never go wrong

I realized that nothing is forever, those things in the cupboards will outlive me weather I use them or not. I got rid of ridiculous cutlery, now only use fancy ones every single day. best linnens, best comforters, best of everything that I can reasonably afford without putting myself into financial hurdle. Just love the way you prattle on. I find it so relaxing your voice is very relaxing to listen to. Filled with good ideas wearing sleeveless dresses with a silk blouse. My favorite clothes are silk. LOl I do have gold cutlery for special occasions. OMG. You have nothing to throw away. I have a 40 foot wall that I turned into mirrored closets. My rule now though is if I buy one I have to throw one away. So of course now I go for unique things that I do not have. Always find your videos so refreshing filled with excellent ideas. Almost forgot I ove soft plush blankets and I said I was going to make a full outfit to lunge around the house in and guess what? I found several tops made out of the exact material that I wanted. Soft plush blanket material so soft against your skin. Just love them. Have to admit in the summer I put a soft plush blanket on my bed and lie on it in the nude. LOL. Alos found several bathrobes made in the same plush material. Love them.

What a lovely video! We don't have the exact same style but I've always appreciated your restraint when it comes to picking the perfect pieces and outfits ❤ I'm now nostalgic for my Sunday Pamper Routine 🤣 I used to wake up early ish, do some yoga, have an MOT shower, go to the bakery down the road and buy a breakfast croissant (or two) and a cake for the afternoon. Then I would get the teaset out, lay it all out on a tray, and journal then have breakfast. All whilst laying on the sofa I saved up for for months ❤ I can't wait to be a home owner (or even just renting) so I can have my sacred mornings again and my own space and that feeling of peace when the whole day is ahead and its just you and your whims ❤

Freddy, please explain your mirror TV! 16:14 I hate having a big black box just sitting there. I’ve seen the Picture frame TVs and think those are intriguing when I can afford one, but I am extremely curious of what you did here. It is very classy! I also loved the black and white photo idea. I grew up with a “no photos” rule because my dad thought it looked tacky. I could never really allow myself to put up photos in my home except 2 special exceptions but this may be a good compromise between me and my husband! To add to the general discussion: I agree there is a fine line between materialism and class. However, that’s why Freddy emphasizes on the cohesive color pallet so each item is more versatile. My aunt it’s such a classy, elegant woman and I have always aspired to be like her one day, yet I never one considered her materialistic (even though there are others who I have considered very materialistic). To me materialism is constantly being up on the latest trends and replacing things as soon as you’re board with them, focusing so much on what other people have, generally being wasteful, etc. you can be elegant and classy without being materialistic. It’s definitely all about carriage and outlook.

You do not need to stick to a neural colour palette, you just need to know your colours to be able to make great outfits with may colours and not too many clothes. Also along with Freddy's message about the material the clothing is made of look at purchasing second hand or pre owned clothes do so, rather than dealing with fast fashion.
