I have the opposite of you. Trash looks horrible off, but you can’t tell it’s covered in stain, holes, and doesn’t fit me at all when I put it on. So I never get new clothes. Trust me it’s miserable if you don’t get allowance, and even if you did you aren’t allowed to buy anything. My sister has the opposite of me, and the same problem as you, so she is always getting new clothes. (I get jealous sometimes, because I’m stuck wearing trash just because it looks good on me).

I love this trick - for the older pieces that you've not worn as much, you should put them on the rail outside the cupboard instead of putting them back into the cupboard. Have some older pieces on that rail (instead of new ones. They're new so you'll remember them anyway) so it reminds you that you need to wear them, otherwise you'll forget! Out of sight, out of mind! I've done this and I've fallen in love with so many older pieces I forgot I had!
