Frederic Malle "Lys Mediterranee" Fragrance Review

Great review! Could you possibly do a review on Angeliqués Sous La Pluie? I really love that fragrance and Jean Claude Ellena was the nose behind it. On my skin it just disappears but I wanted to get your thoughts on it.

Hello!! Out of the two you mention, I would for sure go for French Lover, it has such a great opening of foresty green ness!! This one is full on fresh realistic lillies. Also..for the price?? There are much better florals for men to try. If you are going to splurge on a Frederic Malle scent? French Lover!!

I'm so happy you mentioned a whiff of tuberose! My interest in perfumes is quite new, and I'm not so good at distinguishing the smells of different flowers (yet?), so I'm always so happy when I feel sure about recognising a certain scent. To my surprise and delight, I was sure there was tuberose in this one, but a much lighter version than in Carnal Flower. However, there is no tuberose note mentioned on Fragrantica and I've tried to find reviews that mention tuberose, but you are the first one to smell it as well. I'm so happy that someone more knowledgable alos fond it, it menas my nose isn't completely off, not just jumbeling white floras. Anyway, I love it! For me, it just might be signature worthy, I'll have to sniff it some more. :)

As much as I don't wanna say this...and as much as I love Fragrantica, the note lists can be skewed alot. I always reference three different sites before I put the note list in, firstly the brand website because yeah, it can get complicated. Most importantly it's what you smell and feel because perfumers and brands never mention everything...it's a bit of a mystery. It can easily have tuberose in it but the brand isn't obloged to tells us that, they disguise notes within accords, it's a big part of the fun of trying to dissect a fragrance. :)

I dropped my sample of this on the floor after 2 sprays and the vial shattered. it was a 3ml samples too. God I need to call Frédéric Malle and ask for another. so annoying that I dropped it. I atleast got 1 spray on my wrist

+ouch110 Fragrance Reviews I sampled the whole line, minus the maybe 5 florals. Lys Mederretanie was one of the only florals I had from the line. I own Bigarade Concentrée, I like Cologne Indelible, Musc Ravagour, Bois d'orage, Le parfum de Theresa, and there might have been 1 or 2 more I loved

Hello!!! In terms of lily scents? I would go for Yes I Do by Etat Libre D'Orange or Paris Seychelles by Pierre Guillame. When it comes to other types of florals? gosh there are tons depending on the flower. :)

Could you recommend your favourite mass pleasing florals in general which are uni sex or have a masculine direction?
