I‘ve liked everything you did so far, personally I enjoy videos about people that are lesser known. I‘ve seen so many videos about the Tudors, yet there are a lot of other interesting people in history. I only suggest keep doing what you are doing, I love you channel so far & probably gonna watch it anyway! :)

Vicky and Fred are my Great Great Grandparents . Cause of death for both Fredrick III and his father was they were hung. First father then son due to not putting up with the pedophile regime. The 99 days is code for Fred was a Stuart of God This is why my Great Grandpa was sent to America as a child with Uncle Herald.

When Frederick was 9 years old his uncle became King Frederick William IV (not his father became emperor), and his father became heir presumptive. His father became king in 1861, and this is when Frederick became Crown Prince of Prussia. In 1871 he became Crown Prince of the Germans when the empire was established.

0:45 When Frederick was 9 years old, there was no German Emperor and there was no German Empire. Germany didn't unite until 1871. Frederick's Father didn't become King of Prussia until 1861, meaning Frederick didn't become Crown Prince of Prussia until he was 29 and of Germany until he was 39.

Your channel came recommended to me today. Slightly into the first video I immediately subscribed and watched all your videos and was not at all disappointed. Your accent is beautiful. As an American here and there I had a little trouble understanding what you were saying, and thought if you spoke just slightly slower at that point I could get it. I am greatly looking forward to your next video. It's obvious a lot of work went into your videos, I loved all the photos you included, and I hope your channel grows quickly.

Hey, Thanks for your insertion. Are you referring to Mackenzie? Because he was born in London. To be totally correct it would only be German Emperor. As far as I know, Emperor of the Germans wasn’t too popular either during Fredericks time, since it suggested democratic ideas. I used the term Emperor of Germany, because in German „Kaiser von Deutschland“ is commonly used. Wilhelm I and II used Emperor of Germans, at least that is what I read.

The three Kings of Prussia (Wilhelm I, Frederick III, and Wilhelm II) from 1871 to 1918 used the title "German Emperor", King Frederick William IV of Prussia however, had he accepted the crown of the 1848 German Empire would have used the title "Emperor of The Germans" but he declined and thus the title was never used.

I found this video to be most interesting and educational! I learned a lot today about a German King, that I quite frankly had very little interest in previously. I very much doubt that the doctors would have been able to do much regarding the throat cancer back in the 19th century, as medical techniques were not as advanced or accurate as they are today. Even now doctors are not perfect. Or always able to help with certain medical conditions. We will never know what kind of King he could have been. Thank you.

It’s hard to say. As long as Germany renews its alliance with Russia WWI cannot occur. Instead we likely get two separate wars, one involving Austria Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, and Russia and another sometime later between France and Germany. Bismarck more or less understood this, and as long as he was at the helm, an alliance with Russia was an extremely high priority. But did Friederich understand that? Would he have continued to pursue that alliance even after Bismarck’s death? It’s unclear. What DOES seem very likely though were Friederich’s reign longer is that Anglo-German relations are much better. Potentially so much so that they decide not to involve themselves in WWI.
@savagedarksider5934
@savagedarksider5934 2 жыл бұрын
@@bentonmadsen8359 In my personal opinion, I think this would happen; Frederick would renew their alliance with Russia rather than keep the alliance with austria-hungary. This would cause Austria-Hungary to seek A alliance with France; so we might get Germany,Russia,italy, And possibly Britain-if they want to get involved vs France and Austria-Hungary.

It's interesting to play "what if" but I don't think one can be so certain of Germany's future regards WW1. Frederick 3 became emperor in 1888, that's 26 years until the war broke out. A myriad of possibilities here. Still, I can't help think it's unfortunate he and Vicky didn't have more time to sway German and European events.
