I looked at that exact spot for that item @24:35 and I still couldn't find it! Why didn't it give me the option to search that part of the wall?!

I could take the item through the wall, it was a bug. The dev has "repair" it after I tell him, but you can still find the item on the other side of the wall after you open the door.
