😊 THE WIRE absolutely Is one of the best TV shows ever made... But I don't think Bird/Fredro character got wrote out because they disliked him. The Wire just had this flow where ANYTHING good or bad can happen to anyone in that show and that's one aspect that made it realistic/entertaining... Bird got locked up for what he and Avon crew did to Omar boyfriend, so there was no need to realy hear from Bird character again... Life changing events happen throughout the whole show... Everybody was mad when Avon got locked up for good, Stringer got killed and Sergeant Herc became some sort of special lieutenant even though he was known for messing up...lol Great interview AOD and Fredro💯

It's acting. If you've seen most of his characters then he never really had to do much in his roles but say his lines. I'm sure he was talking about exploring acting on a deeper level. There's a ton of levels to it. Look at Colin Farrell in The Penguin, it takes a lot even to sit for hours each day to apply the makeup then take it off and do it again the next day. If you like watching movies and shows then you have to respect the actors and their craft. That's if you're mature though.

He said the audition lines was based on sticking up and robbing people for the Omar character. Not Omar gay character lines. He did good with the stick up line of Omar robbing people they gave him a part in the show of being a villain drug dealer. Now if you went to audition And actually had to kiss someone to do a gay scene and say some gay shit I think dude would’ve walked out the door at that point. You know they keep footage of actors auditioning for parts. That wouldn’t look good for him if shit like that surfaced.

Just what it is! No matter if u are acting or not, you know u are the one who is DOING THAT SCENE! I was a theatre actress for 10 years in nyc and chicago, i stopped when i got married and had a baby. My husband told me one day im glad u got out. Because no matter what role u get....YOU ARE THE ONE DOING THE ROLE.! It isnt that much acting in the world. U still gotta go home with yourself, not the character. You still have to look un the mirror at yourself, not the character. Wisdom. This is why the most brilliant and upstanding black actors never went that route with sexual deviancy and depravity.
