Thank you so much for this detailed video. Just cut my locs in May and decided to start me and my daughters microlocs. I purchased this tool and was nervous about doing our reties.

How long does it take you to retie your hair?

Thank you for staying. That tool seems so hard to use but it’s what my loctician uses and I feel I need to learn how to use it if anything were to happen to her. This was the best explanation by far. It’s going to take some getting used to but I’m going to save this video

Thank you for this video. I self installed and do my own reties and was unsure if I could use this tool myself. Seeing this has made me willing to try since I've been told once I get past the learning curve this will help cut my time down. I'll follow up and let you know. (Also the link for the holder says unavailable).

Hi, so if my last entry point is at 3, Next retie do I start at 3 again or 12? I’m totally confused trying to learn. 😅

Yes. Ideally if you finished with the lock laying in the downward direction

Start at a different point from your last because you don’t want to make a hole/y-shape, so if you are doing a 4 point rotation; for example, you would enter at either 12 or 6 at your next retie if you ended at 3 as your last entry point.

Here, she is recommending to always finish with 12 as your entry point (12 to 6 = North to South) to make the loc lay straight down. I hope this helps. Best wishes and much success! ✌🏽💜🌸
