great video Kesenya! I love that you use examples because many of us may know what the houses mean but without having examples to see how these things usually turn up can leave a lot of room for imagination if you know what I mean. The 11th house is sometimes associated with marriage in eastern astrology. I am assuming that this has something to do with hopes and dreams. I wanted to ask in your experience, have you seen a lot of marriages happen when the 11th house becomes activated in your practice?

Terrific question, but I honestly have to say that I havent seen it happen a great deal. Theoretically, it could indicate falling in love with a future mate when we have a transit here as it is the 5th (love and romance) house from the 7th (marriage). It would also show how your mate perceives your love relationship ie. if you had capricorn here your mate may be more serious about love and romance, or more conservative about approaches to dating. Gemini here could indicate that they are extremely playful and lighthearted about their romance with you. But I think it would require actually being in a relationship to begin with, rather than triggering a fated meeting (unless there were some other pretty hefty indicators in the persons chart). A fascinating house! 11th house is also the indicator of the third life partner - so in that sense, a transit here could trigger a meeting with a THIRD committed life partner, if that is the number life partner you are up to!

Can I just ask? If my Gemini rising is at 26 degrees does that mean my first house ends at cancer 12 degrees? Meaning it’s quite small.

Hi Emma - according to Whole Sign Astrology (the system I use) the whole sign of Gemini is your 1st house, the whole sign of Cancer is your second house, the whole sign of Leo is your third house and so on around the chart.
