I play a guitar for many years. My 3 years old son heard a banjo music for first time today and immediately ask me to buy one. I’ve Found your channel and subscribed. My son watched over 10 melodies in a row. Kid falls in love in banjo.

brilliant, that's just what I needed . Probably the best video for us beginners to watch . you managed to break it down so even if can understand how to mix it up instead of playing parrot fashion. thank you very much

I do not play banjo, but do play the ukulele. I have two tenors and a 4-string banjolele. Many people don’t know it, but there are companies who have started building 5-string banjoleles. I don’t have a five string. But I found this tutorial and am using it to learn finger picking patterns I don’t know. I already know three from my guitar playing days. Thanks for posting.

Wow! Diamond in the rough!? Thank you Mike :) As a beginner I am just swamped with new songs I want to play along with yet attempting to learn new songs at the same time. This lesson will allow all of that to occur because of the "separation of my brain?" to allow "belly rub, head tap" action with the aid of this video and subscribing for the tab/rolls... Can't wait to get "Rolling out the rolls" haha THANK YOU so Much! :))

Really great lesson Mike. The quality of your lessons / videos is reflected in my immediate desire to go try what you demonstrate. The best instructors of any skill are those that inspire their students to want to learn and advance. I could have used an instructor with your natural teaching skills in my Calculus II course back in college..... :)

Nice lesson thanks Mike. BB recently showed me that, but in my notes i just wrote "harmonise scale with a roll". Couldn't remember what I meant when i got back home 😃...until now thanks.

Wow Mike! That is the best explanation and lesson I have seen on this topic. I've been trying to learn on my own for 5 years and this finally explains the mystery of trying to learn improvising. Thanks so much. I'm excited to get started on this.

Trying to get a handle on how to get the left and right hands to function independently is kind of tricky. I bet folks starting out on the piano have the same deal. Your vid has made it easier to understand so thanks for that Mike. Good job.

You can still click the subscribe button in the description and the tab will be sent to you. Each lesson has it's own "list" which is just a way for me to send you the tab automatically. Even if you're already on the general lesson list you'll still be able to get the tab. Thanks. -Mike

Where on the 2nd fret do your fingers go ? What chords are you holding down
@MikeHeddingMusic3 жыл бұрын
You'll put your 2nd finger on the 2nd fret of the 3rd string. On this lesson we're just playing individual notes, not chords. There's a tab available for this lesson on my website if you want to see it written out. Keep picking. - Mike
