The island of Saint Domingue, which is Haiti, was the cause of the Louisiana Purchase. During the Haitian Revolution of 1802 Napoleon was defeated by the African Haitian army. The Haitians also defeated the the Spanish army, the British army and American soldiers who tried to aide the French. Haiti was the most profitable colony in the Americas. It was central to the New Orleans economy. Once the Haitian people kicked the French off of the island, Napoleon had no need for New Orleans, basically giving it to the US.

Napoleon had initially given the blacks on Sanit Domingue their freedom. Than when he lost the Napolieonic Wars he needed the slavery to be re-instated cause he had lost so much. This was when the rebellion started.

It was taught in my school? This is what happens when a national policy for education does not exist in the US, you end up with educational inequality.

The Haitian Rebellion against French made the Louisiana Purchase possible. Yet, America show so much in gratitude. Louisiana Purchase consist of the following states: Missouri, Arkansas, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Texas, part of New Mexico, Oklahoma. Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana.

In simple terms when you take something that isn't yours that's a crime. If it's an inanimate object it is called theft. If it is a person it is called kidnapping. Regardless of what is taken, it is still a crime under the laws of justice. Unfortunately, justice has not been serviced to the one committing the crime. If that were factual then we would see different faces in the prison system. The prison system was created to keep the systematic racial enslavement continued under another name. The laws that constitute the incarceration of people of color behind bars need to be ratified. Until that day comes then all men are not created equal. Until police and law enforcement are treated like any person that commits a crime there is no justice, and the will be no peace. The laws of America are not fair for all mankind. It needs to be fixed.

Very good information!! I had no idea how the territory was settled!! I had no idea that the Atlantic slave trade was outlawed that early!! Or that free black and slave blacks fought against each other. Black history should have been included in all AMERICAN history text books across this nation.. we are one country, the melting pot of many races and nationalities!!

I've come to the conclusion that this gentleman was maliciously being exploited and humiliated for the fun of it. The Camera was strategically angled while speeding up the teleprompter. The Narrator is a Proper Southerner who take pride in his accomplishments. For me, it was obvious that the Narrator was shock and was unable to ask those in control to slow it down. Whenever I view a video, I also focus on "The Wizard" behind the curtain😒

Louisiana was never purchased.... Washitaw de Dugdahmoundyah(the ancient ones)W.E. have the facts. Check the CAMP HOLMES Treaty. Check the UNITED NATIONS(Geneva, 29 July - 2 August 1996) CONTENTS - E/C 4/Sub 2/1996/21 - Page 7. Napoleon actually sold only the streets(as in Bourbon Street etc..,) of New Orleans and a military barracks. And Thomas Jefferson actually purchased the arsenal at New Orleans and a small amount of land outside the city limits, but within the providence where the city lies.... (LOUISIANA PURCHASE TREATY - April 30, 1803 with Convention 1) Incomplete fact in your presentment.
