DANNY THE MEDIC- CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST is traditionally European (Bread, Cheese, Coffee) and is meant to be on the dry side texture-wise, being meant to be eaten alongside a HOT beverage like coffee or teas. NORTH AMERICA version also includes Egg, Bacon or Sausage, and that is about it- you are lucky there was grits! The cruise line seems to include extras that you would not see other places...

I'm with you. I was raised in the south and ate grits almost every day for breakfast, and on Fridays at school when they served grits and broiled fish. Lots of butter, salt, and pepper.

I'm all about the grits. Salt, pepper, butter, and if I've got bacon that's nice and crispy just crumble it up in there 😊 I loved that NCL had grits on the buffet and in the restaurant, the texture was good. Totally not made with milk and severely under salted. I was still so happy to have them on a 15 winter Transatlantic trip.

Didn’t know the American Diner served breakfast. Can get the same items at The Local pub, MDR, or breakfast buffet of course.

So happy to know the American Diner is now officially COMPLIMENTARY 😊 Just 4 months ago it wasn't, it was a specialty restaurant that had an upcharge. I read somewhere last year that they were converting all of them, line wide to being complimentary. Very 😎 cool

that is terrific. I am currently right now as I write this, on the carnival Venezia cruise ship. Here they have several outlets that are included for the price and that breaks up the monotony. I think NCL realizes this and is simply following suit. Maybe I don’t know.

Better to get freshly cooked eggs or omelet. Rumors some cruises use powdered eggs and/ or they are cold.
