Hi Peter, I remember when they first moved it to the current sight, you could see it from the highway. However not so much now with all the vegetation grown up. It’s great that you brought this little gem to our attention as we will stay here for a few days on our way through. Another entertaining video. Cheers Steve

Hi Steve, yes the vegetation has grown and you can't see it from the hwy. But it is a great site to stop and stay for a few days..I hope you enjoy your stay there..👍👀

You'll find my army pay slip up on the rafters there from 1987. I put it up there just prior to being banned for life for removing a basin that we didnt do. Funniest part about it was when the manager was showing us where the basin was removed from, the person who took it walked in with it but we still got banned anyway. Poor attitude to the military they had.

Such a pity the one in SE Qld was closed down after a significant court case and attempts to keep it open. It was iconic and was right on the Bruce highway and open every day til late. It was actually better than the original one in NSW. We can see how cool the one is that is open now, by the lack of visitors! Even being free there is a decided lack of visitors. Perhaps it's because no one knows how good it is or maybe they just preferred the one on the Sunshine Coast!

Hi Clissa, this pub is going through the same thing. The place is called Ettamogah Tavern now because of the owner of the Name is taking the owner of this pub to court. Some copy right issues..
