In the Tartakower, why not 8...Bg4 to get ahead of the prophylactic h3?
@ChessGoals Жыл бұрын
Good question. We can still play Be6 and line up with h3. This keeps our plan consistent across other Tartakower lines in the full course.

So pretty much you memorize the moves. Chess lost it's creativity. No wonder Fisher Random was invented.
@bluefin.64 Жыл бұрын
That's true to a meaningful degree at the top levels of chess, but the average player seldom if ever plays a game where the opening moves are all from memory. Out of book moves often happen early. In the rare case you and your opponent follow an opening's theory to it's limit, then you're in the middlegame and on your own.

We like to focus on the plans and getting a lot of experience in the positions. Memorization is not required for most positions.

this is repertoire. you need to learn openings like this before you start to improvise an opening. once the position is a novelty than you are always forced to be creative and mindful.

The last 2 months I have played a lot of chess, and watching a lot of your videos have really taught me so much. I even have a notepad of important things to remember when playing. Thanks for this video & all the others 🤍

The "takeaways" :) Thanks for the nice comment we will keep the videos coming!

For playing a defense we should be looking at it from black’s perspective. Clicked don’t recommend this channel.

@@ChessGoals well show that in your thumbnail if you want to draw more viewers. Just a suggestion.
