Children play upon/on a tree in Delhi. 😌 Do you remember your last time? Do not call it 🦧 monkey business. “Climbing up trees, branches and walking upon them should be made mandatory for kids, adolescents by administration”, 😏 you said right.
Boys and girls here are seen around a tree in a West Delhi park. They climb, walk, sit - simple exercises. I do not know what tree it is, doesn’t look dead to me, though it appears fallen, बाकी राम जाने | There is no helmet, no rope, no harness with the kids, the tree is perhaps not too risky to climb. 11-12 feet may not be too high, what say? Technically, they are just ‘free climbing’ - without any aids ie. One or more of these kids will become arborists (arboriculturists)? I do not know if tree climbing is illegal in India. Hey c’mon!, let them kids have some fun. 😉 It’s part of their growing up. Necessary part of development? - you are right. इस उम्र में नहीं तो फ़िर कब ? I came across a term in reference to (in context of) tree climbing - “nature’s instruments”. 👍
This is B1 Park in Janakpuri along Professor Joginder Singh Marg, video shoot time is 4:32 to 4:39 PM on 16 Dec ’24. Look at the tree profile btw. Interesting.
Say anything, thank you. Would you call this a fallen tree?, Mr. Watson?
थोड़ा ज्ञान (from Wikipedia): Tree sitting is a form of environmentalist civil disobedience in which a protester sits in a tree, usually on a small platform built for the purpose, to protect it from being cut down (speculating that loggers will not endanger human lives by cutting an occupied tree). Supporters usually provide the tree sitters with food and other supplies.
P.S. and Disclaimer: These kids are not tree sitting, they are just having fun. Recreation time.

The rule of thumb for tree climbing is the same as for rock climbing: Always maintain at least three points of safe contact with the tree.”
