Actually, Nicholas Galitzine DID learn to play for this film. Not well enough to be a virtuoso, but enough to do some of his own violin work in several scenes 🤷‍♀️

And is an excellent self taught pianist and guitar player. Do remember this was a low budget young adult film and he had only two weeks to get the basics. The violin is not only a difficult instrument to master but extremely hard to busk. He is also trying to dupe very complicated playing.
