Could you help a homeschool mom out? My son is 9, and we are doing basic physics. We were doing simple volume and density expirements, but got stuck on multiplying a fraction that had a prime number. A cube was 1 3/16, so we multiplied 3/16*3/16*3/16 = 27/4096... but I cannot for the life of me simplify this! Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏

you are the best youtuber ever, I'm twelve years old and when I was 11 I got sick of being called stupid and dumb, and so I daringly said that I would learn calculus (I didn't even know what calculus was, lol). I began to search it up online and decided to start with algebra and basic physics, and while searching I found your channel. IT HAS BEEN A MASSIVE HELP. I am know learning trig, and also recently got into computer programming too (I'm making an 8-bit computer rn lol). I'm thinking of documenting my progress on my YT channel (idk if that would get views tho). Nonetheless you were a massive, and I'll repeat MASSIVE help in my journey. You've done so much for me 1. Now my friend thinks i'm gifted bc i'm gud at math ( i luv it) 2. My parents are EXTREMLY proud of me (that's one of the biggest things i'm happy about) 3. I know longer insult myself for being too dumb 4. It's helped a ton, bc now classwork is pretty easy 5. I can help my sisters with their math work :D You are the MOST underrated youtuber ever!

8:46 In this problem you could do -9.8*5 and get the same answer without doing any other work. This won't work in all instances but the reason it's possible here is because if the ball accelerates -9.8 m/s^2 meaning the velocity increases -9.8 every second and there are 5 seconds.

Set an accelerometer at what you call "rest" . It will be reading 9.8 m/s. Now put it into freefall and it will read 0. Motion creates the buoyancy and density effects which cease to exist in freefall. You might want to start questioning and doing some simple observations if you're going to be trying to teach.

The force of gravity pulls harder on heavier objects, but heavier objects need more force to be accelerated. For gravity, these effects cancel each other out. :)

Im in the process of disproving this right now. They do not hit the ground at the same time and they are not under the same force. The force they are under is the combined force of the gravitational of the Earth plus the seperate gravitational pull of each steel ball. The effect is tiny especially compared to the gravitational pull of the Earth. It does however exist none the less.

I have a doubt in the last problem. The second subdivision in the question states that the velocity of the ball just before it hits the ground ,but we have found the time 11.95s where the ball hits the ground

another way i like to think of the difference between speed and velocity, velocity has direction so it can be negative and positive (vector) , but speed is just how fast it is going think of it like directionless velocity, it is scalar

9:02 This is why i don't like introductory(?) physics. We can literally get different answers by using different equations in the "4th big equations". If we use the formula s(t)=1/2(a)(t), we would get s(5)=(-4.9)(5^2)= -122.5. Since distance is a scalar, then we can just remove the negative sign and get 122.5. Since the definition of speed is distance over time (speed=distance/time), then speed=122.5/5 = 24.5. This SHOULD be true because all i did was using the definition. However, the video uses velocity final and speed interchangeably, which also make sense to me. So which one is correct then? Can somebody explain it to me why i got different answers? EDIT: I'm 101% sure mine is correct since multiplying my answer by 5 will give the exact distance, while multiplying the video's answer by 5 would give a different distance (feel free to correct me btw). I think the flaw in the video's answer is that it uses velocity and speed interchangeably. While sometimes it can be used interchangeably, but as we can see here that it doesn't work for this problem because the answer shows the velocity at that exact moment (velocity final), not the avg velocity. Nonetheless, i still believe he's more knowledgeable than me.
