After losing their last 8 consecutive games the Flyers were able to find some energy in a 4-1 win over the Rangers in The Garden. Samuel Ersson made 24 saves in the victory over the league-leading Rangers. New York faces their cross town rival Islanders on Saturday in their second-to-last game of the regular season.

The scorers seem to be M.I.A. as well as the defense.. Peter Lav. didn't learn from what happened with the Fishsticks and; kept Rempestein out.. Although, he only plays for a few the blockhead that ran Quick would've paided... The energy he brings seem to also bring momentum for all...... Nonetheless: L.G.R.!!!!! let's figure n, finish strong, healthy and, right.....😮😮😮

Unpopular opinion but Trouba looks cooked. Miller has been horrible with Trouba since his return. Miller was looking fantastic along with Schneider. Every time Trouba is on the ice something bad happens. Lindgren’s play is also concerning. The D has taken a huge step back since both returned. Jones needs to be in the lineup and see significant ice time. We really need his creativity and offense 5v5.

They are 3-3 in April given up 27 goals in their last 6 games, they got trounced in their two last games, no defense, constant turnovers, giving up too many odd-man rushes, lackluster energy, Trouba is a nightmare, and the lack of strong 5-on-5 play. Does any of that equate to success in the playoffs?

They are 3-3, but 18-21 with goals, not 27 allowed. If you count the 7th game against the Coyotes, it would be 26 GA. They lost to Pitt and NYI who are playing really great right now and seem to want to get into the playoffs any way they can. Rangers played well against NYI for 2 out of 3 periods, but just didn't have enough in the end to overcome the sloppy first period and 0-3 deficit. Based on that game, if the Rangers were playing the Isles in the Playoffs, I would still think they would win the series, but the Saturday rematch will be very telling as well. If they win both games entering the playoffs, we know what position they will be in. Having said that, this Philly loss was awful. They looked like they did against the Devils in some of those later games last year in the playoffs where they just seemed to be going along with whatever was happening to them as they lost the 2-0 series lead. Not good and sometimes like they were not even present. Not scoring a 5 on 5 goal in the last two games also looks bad. So big game against the Isles and then the Senators to close out the season, turn it around, and enter the playoffs on a high note.

Can someone please tell me the Rangers’ record when Rempe is in the lineup vs. their record when he’s a healthy scratch (not counting the games against the Devils)? What a waste to not use this kid. If the Rangers have to play the Lightning in the first round, it’s going to be one and done, just like last year.

You guys may be too young to remember Tim Kerr, but he was a big guy (for his era) who would plant himself at the top of the crease. This core has no heart. They havent shown up all week. If they keep playing like this then the Rangers will get smoked by Tampa. Ruhwedel, Rempe and Jones should all be in the lineup on Saturday. Miller, Gustafsson and Goodrow should sit.

When are they going to stop sugar coating how bad Miller is playing? -3 last night, he's always on the ice when the other team scores. He can't handle the hybrid zone/man defense. Look at his last 20 games, sometimes he's a +1 but does nothing when we score 3 goals but is directly responsible for the 2 goals we give up. This will not work in the playoffs!! Miller and Trouba should be the 3rd defensive pair! Sorry not sorry!

Terrible effort tonight......they were chasing pucks from behind the play..... and by chasing they didn't watch flyers movement away from the puck.....which created open spacing and open shots

Valley hits it on the head again. Miller had a horrible game, no denying that. To me, I think the Rangers play turned when Trouba came back into the line up. I would love the coach to take out Gus and put Jones in, and then demote Trouba to 3rd d pair and have him play with Jones. Trouba is slow, he got exposed last year by a fast devils team and this year has not been any better. In addition, not impressed with Rosolvic at all and while Wennberg has been good, he never finishes to score a goal.

the lineup tonight was atrocious. Teams better with Jones and Rempe in the lineup and it isnt close. Need to do something about our 2nd line right winger cause if we cant ever get any 5v5 production from that second line we are cooked. Bring up Othmann, move Kaako up, shove Rempe in front as a screen. I dont care just do something cause Mika and Kreider are invisible

For a team that has the best record, that play inconsistently with no spirit their play was totally lackadaisical . They have a big problem and fans see it it's always the same players that have to go. As for Trouba checking and hitting just doesn't stir a team as a captain and leader you put your foot down and tell the team what has to be done. These were not the Rangers at all.

Rangers are history out in the first round in 5. Remember last year Panarin 0 goals in 7 games Mika 1 goal in 7 games. Miller should be paid by the Rangers opponent. Get ready for another disappointing playoff season.
