Yayyyy, GLITTER!!!! If you put enough glitter in the resin, to where when you tilt your mixing stick you don't see clear...then it is usually opaque enough to cover things!! I so LOVE glitter, sparkle, BLING!!!! 💖✨💖✨💖✨💖

It is GORGEOUS! I would have used a 3D paint like Pebeo but your result is perfect. My daughter, who we always called 'POOH' just did a Winnie the Pooh diamond painting called like maybe an hour ago and asked if I would resin it. She has no idea that I pulled it off the table and already started resining it. Can't wait to do a border on it now. Thank you so much for the inspiration to finish it up with a bang.

You do flatten a diamond painting by ironing it before you place the drills. You turn the canvas upside down and place a towel over the back. I use an old towel because they aren't so thick and fluffy any longer. Set your iron to low and iron it through the towel. Keep the iron moving and use firm, but not heavy pressure. You don't want to leave it in one spot or press very hard, that can affect the glue, especially if it's poured glue. Most diamond paintings from China are double-sided tape. If you have a really stubborn fold or wrinkle you can use a little steam or lightly mist it with water. I've ironed many diamond paintings and never had any issues. I prefer how US diamond paintings come. They roll them instead of folding them. And they use poured glue which is so much nicer to work on. BTW my biggest diamond painting is about 3 feet wide by 4.5 feet tall. You would be amazed by the detail difference in a larger painting compared to the ones you get from Temu. ❤

@TheBlueElephantGifts It is full coverage. I have several that are 3.5 to 4 ft long but they vary in width. Most of mine come from Diamond Art Club. They are pricey, but so worth it once you see the detail.

It didn’t dull them. They did lose the ‘diamond’ effect though. I pretty much know that was going to happen and was ok with it in this piece because of the opaqueness of these drills. If it was the drills that look like rhinestones and are transparent I wouldn’t have done it like this one.

What do you do when you’re a beginner in diamond painting but you are a klutz and spilled half a diamond color on to the floor which scattered everywhere ? Not enough because it scattered around

🤣I’m only laughing because I spilled one of my colors all over the place too. Without actually seeing it is there another shade of the color that you could use? Or maybe similar drills left over from a different painting?
