@@k303k Difficulty is entirely dependent on the developer. But let me put it this way: when I was younger, as a primarily PHP and JS developer, I had a chance to glance at C# code. I had never looked at it before, never coded in C# before, but I was still about to grasp what the program was doing. That was a really cool moment. So if you're a full-stack JS dev, I think you shouldn't have too much trouble with C#.

It's the Microsoft way and it changes with every major upgrade. They used to push everyone to write inserts and updates inside a data grid. Just learn the fundamentals and implement your tips and tricks as needed.

i was just at microsoft learn, i wouldnt mind a c# cert but there is no test out of the basic levels, I stopped using c# at version 5. I need to get up to speed with the new features, I just cant believe i have to go thru the basic levels. it is tough to look at a series of variables that should be an array of grades for each student lol

I wouldn't add it to a CV unless you have zero C# projects to show. Otherwise it looks bad that you would bring attention to a certificate to showcase your knowledge instead of work you've done

I am a consultant working as a Cloud developer. My bosses are always bugging us about putting our certifications on our CV. In other words, i totally disagree with what you wrote. You should showcase your certifications on your CV and linkedin.

Take a video course and apply all your knowledge as soon as possible by creating project

If you want to start with a language that is difficult but will help you understand others, do an introductory C course first - it will be somewhat short in comparison to C++ and teach you the "essentials". But if you are struggling with the technical side, an easier to learn language like Javascript or Python may be a better place to start before moving onto something where you have to consider more of the lower level aspects of programming, which C and C++ are good at.

Currently it's not possible to verify the "Trophy" for the first challenge. "Now that you've completed all of the "Write Your First Code Using C#" challenges, you should have earned a trophy for it on Microsoft's learning platform." So i earned a badge for this not a trophy. Is there a delay before i can verify it? Or is it because im german and using "de-de" instead of "en-us" in the URL?
