I was at a restaurant in San Diego a few years ago and he was there and I went over to meet him and he was very much like how he is in the movies. At Conventions I could see actors faking it for the fans but he seemed to be as fun in real life as he was in movies.

@@chrikke Wow, that's one of the worst descriptions of Matrix. First of all, "Free Guy" is a game character, digital character, not a real human being. At least watch the movie and then compare those 2. Addition to that, Matrix has a very complex understanding of world and "free will" with the themes of war between machines and humans and fate and come on man, watch the Matrix. The tone, the idea behind it is very different. Although, for some who don't care and watch movies while scrolling Instagram of KZbin, then yes, for you all the movies are same. Edit: Neo was the one, literally. In "Free Guy" there is a lot of lego movie type of humor and characters, who are willing to fight and be different. Lego movie character's love of routine and adventerous spirit is super same and much more similar than Matrix, pfff, I mean did you watch all 3 movies to get the idea?

@@chrikke "The Matrix" is based on the "Neuromancer" by William Gibson, which is a cyberpunk novel about a group of mercenary criminals who secretly work for an artificial intelligence that's trying to break free. Same thing and theme does apply for the movie with minor changes in characters of Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne. "Free Guy" is about a side game character, who refuses to do his chores and becomes the main character, while the developer of the game gets angry and is trying to destroy the game. There is no way those 2 movies are similar.

The film was originally scheduled to release on July 3rd, 2020 but was delayed to December 11th, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On November 5th, 2020 the film was postponed indefinitely, before being rescheduled for May 21st, 2021. The film is now scheduled to release on August 13th, 2021
