So with classic tuning, the same (but inverted) chord shape on the bass side plays the Second Inversion of the melody chord?
@GenePerry8 жыл бұрын
In so long as the left hand is tuned in 5ths, this will be the case. Imagine a classic "C" chord on the guitar. When you play that in the left hand, the lowest string will be G, then E and then the root.

BariMel really seems to suit the Railboard sound,

I use the Classic tuning with High bass 4th religiously !! It works very well for how I play, with that Power chord ( tribal aspect )..for years I played a 10 string classic, I broke a lot of strings, so I switched to a Baritone tuning, but in 2001 / I bought a 12 stringed Grand, EC suggested the classic high tuning, for my Jazzier / fusion stuff.....I've never looked back...until my current interest, in the Railboard....played one for several hours this weekend ( borrowed ).....jury still out....it sets very high sonically, for my taste, so far. may have to use it, tuned DBM...for rhythemic apps !! The sun likes it, so far, I owed a Poly, the sun hated it, intonation was always "Out"..cool sometimes, other times a nightmare !! Never tried matched recip....but it sounds very interesting. Peace

I use heavy gauge Strings for years, moving slowly towards Medium gauge. I'm very heavy - handed, EC will attest to my bombast !!...but age has calmed me so, we shall see on this outting, illness has curbed my.....tension and fury.....a bit.
