I have an early 70's 450c I've restored and it does ton's of work on my property from logging large timber to pushing stumps and dirt and it rocks and never breaks down,I've had it for 30 years now...Thanks for the video...

Those are good tractors. My stepdads construction company had one. Easy to operate and dependable. I rolled it over loading it on oak planks A plank broke. I dove off. We just pulled it back over with another tractor.

We have a 450c 6410 blade. Remarkable what they can do with a bit of patience. I watch guys on bigger machines not really achieving much more

There's a lot to be said for the old machines made before computers, electronics, and sensors. There are 50yr old machines out there still able to run and work. I don't think we'll see anything made today last that long.

Your not alone, I have a 1979 John Deere 450-C Clam Bucket Loader with a 9300 Backhoe, and a 1980 John Deere 550-C Dozer. I keep 'em in good condition, lots of greeseing, filter checks and fluild levels. Near Seward.

Nice! Just a word of advice from my research. Early 450s had dry steering clutches which can be problematic and expensive to fix. Starting with the 450-C they began using wet clutches, I would look for a 450-C or newer. Thanks for watching sir!

Had the thought ever crossed your mind to pull that belly pan and spend a few dollars on degreaser and 2-3 hours with a pressure washer? I mess with old greasy stuff all the time and it sure does make life easier.
Lots of elbow grease, spit shining, and cussing. But it turned out real nice in my opinion. Just sold it about 2 months ago. Check out the thread below if you want. Way more detail about the machine overhaul. www.jdcrawlers.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=13940

Why did u tear it to pieces, it seemed to be operating ok you never explained why before u pulled it apart.
@alsaku333 жыл бұрын
The machine had been sitting for quite some time (years) and was used and abused. It leaked pretty much from everywhere, so I decided to tear it down and service everything. For example the exhaust manifold was cracked, turbo was completely toast, fuel tank rusted over, oil pan gasket leaked, transmission sump screen filter cover leaked and pyro was cut/missing, etc. etc. Thanks for watching!
