It’s the BPM and the drum rhythm that made me right to this beat over The 50 beats just went through before finding this Because I was intentionally looking for something that matches my flow but there is more to the beat than just that aspect the vocal sample Works perfect And set the tone letting the words Really paint a picture And in my eyes Made me feel like this song would be about Betrayal or maybe triumph the chord progression Helps carry that feeling as well And I admire How effective The chords resonate With the listeners emotions because I can feel it but it is so simple even my trained ears Heard only subtle difference throughout your chord progression The horns and the higher frequency Caught my attention also kept the Melody in the intro unpredictable And Not saying that last horn part sounds like a sample I recognize From a pretty famous song But if that was the case Then your creativity Is impressive And coming from the hip hop sample culture Myself I would appreciate If that was a sample being used because I know there’s a lot more to it
