I highly recommend the Petersville Rec area. Beautiful, peaceful, great views of Denali and shiny gold. I’m fairly confident in saying you will find gold there even if you only have a shovel and pan. It’s where I spent a good chunk of my 2nd year of prospecting. I learned a lot, found a decent amount of gold and had a lot of fun. It actually spring-boarded me into getting serious about prospecting and going after bigger and more gold for the past 20 years.

! Nun hast du unser Interesse geweckt hahaha nu gucke wir genau 😄 Greetings From the Team

LG
@TheLensSchwendi4 ай бұрын
@eaglecrow88644 ай бұрын
@TheLensSchwendi4 ай бұрын

Those mounds are from the bucket line dredges when they came threw those are the tailing mounds you were digging
@TheLensSchwendi Жыл бұрын
Thank you for writing! I'm pretty sure, I was not digging in tailings, except the dredge was several thousand years old 😃. The gravel layers looked virgin to me, covered by a muck layer. And there were solid bedrock outcrops, which would be a "pain in the lower backside" for a bucketline dredge. I think, what you mean is a bit further upstream. At 12:50 there are some structures which look like bucketline dredge tailings. Maybe I'm wrong and you are right. But I don't think so...🤠

Yeah when they went threw the area below the bride bye the canyon is where the bucket line started they stopped rite before the hill that’s when they all found word that cache creek was a huge hit they spent the winter with horse teams with snow shoes on them taking the dredge over the pass down to cache bye nugget creek I got all the maps from when they did with all the information from the reports from -1901 -1979 telling what style of mining was used plus all the reports on what they took out plus the pay streak information what they found it in material wise got the maps for a partner that is no longer with us priceless information but really awesome to think they did all that to get the gold
