to note coursera is not free its allows free sampling of courses and to be politically correct is not free because you pay for certificates and to do exams. second note there not recognised by employers and right now its all about the money. no money no sense

Coursera is internationally recognised. Certificates are entirely free should you apply for financial aid. 😊

@@mark2380 When you apply for financial aid in any course you'd like to enrol, you need to click the 'apply for financial aid' at the top or bottom of the course overview. You'll be routed to fill out a form. After so, you have to wait for at least 2 weeks in order for your application to be approved ; after approval, you'll be able to access all course materials and be able to get the free certificate after completing the course. Now, if one doesn't want to wait for the application approval, you may opt to pay for the course certificate. In my case, I waited and all my application are approved. 😊 There you go.
