Whenever I buy something from free people, I usually buy 2 or 3 colors of the same item. Most of my staple clothing is freepeople and most is worth the price especially if you wear it daily. The best onesie is the Hot Shot Onesie btw

YES this is absolutely an important thing that should be acknowledged, like in the beginning of every episode they could talk about the company a bit and tell us what kind of sizing is available, if they're sustainable or fast fashion, etc. Especially since Retail Ratings is meant to give you an idea of the brand and what they offer. I really hate when I see them try on all these amazing looking clothes on this channel, but when I go to buy them for myself, THAT'S when I find out that they only go up to a L. Very frustrating.

For me, as I have gotten bigger being around a 14, I have loved free people because of their wacky sizing because I find a lot more things that fit there and I can size down in. But it is difficult because of the sizing so I agree you def have to try on a lot of options to find what fits. But as a curvier woman its nice to have a place with trendy clothing that actually fits me. I mostly buy dresses from there as I am willing to pay $100 for that but I agree I will not buy a tshirt for more than like $40

For the point of this convo im assuming you are female? This is my rule of thumb: it's all about material. Its not so much what item it is but what its made out of. Like dresses can be casual in a rayon, modal, linen or cotton but dressy in silk, chiffon, crepe or lace. For lunch or dinner that is casual (not Ritz Carleton fancy but not quite 2 am drunk with your friends at a bowling alley casual) you could do nice dark wash jeans with a linen top and some booties or a cotton blend dress with some flats. If your really unsure just go middle of the road that way if your a little overdressed people will just think you care how you look.
