I love all of your crystal designs! And I agree with the long necklace thing-NO clasp, less hassle. But I am cheap - I use thunder polish crystals instead of Swarovski. Mostly because our bead store stocks more of them than Swarovski, but also because I am cheep, cheep, cheep. How ever I am seriously considering purchasing some Swarovski from you for some extra "bling". Also I really enjoy your sense of humor, your videos are more than just instructive, they are entertaining! Thank you! Jodi =-)

Do tohto vzoru som sa priam zamilovala. Robím do náramku tri pásiky, ohňovky 4mm, spojím viacradovým zapínaním. Už som ich spravila v rôznej farebnej kombinácii dobrých 30 ks a stále je po nich dopyt. Veľmi pekne ďakujem za návod...

I started working on this pattern this morning and it is labor intensive as well as uses a load of beads; which is good because I am trying to use as much of my stash as possible. I am incorporating Mom's beads into mine and have two containers of sort of ugly star dust old gold 3 or 4 mm that this is perfect for. I am pairing it with a deep true purple 11 seed and a clear gold 15. I am likeing it and those beads, I thought I'd have no use for, are making it.

This pattern is so much fun to do! What makes some designs 'fun' and others 'tedious'? I've been away from beading for a while and am loving the simple rope-style projects. Also, sick on the sofa so was looking for something that was not too complicated. Thank you!
@cinth574 жыл бұрын
OK, after 18" of this necklace I understand a little more about what makes me enjoy some patterns more than others. First, it is simple enough that I can 'learn' it after a few repetitions; Second, it is repetitive and so very quickly, the pattern is not needed; Third, it is sort of 'gridded' which seems to be the type of pattern I'm often attracted to. I mean that the design fits into rows and columns. Finally there is a satisfying 'click' when the size 15's are added that transforms the loose beads around the center calling them to attention and form a cute flower. Hmmm, after reading this over I've obviously been spending too much time with my beads. Also, maybe 1 and 2 are pretty much the same thing. Anyway, enjoying my first go with this pattern and looking forward to making variations.

Please tell me if this is asking too much and I will completely understand! I love the green colors you used in this video and was wondering if you could tell me what they are? Then I can make one in the colors I really love and not have to do some serious soul-searching to decide on another color for my first one!!! Thank you for everything!

Jill, I instantly loved the design and I started right away to make one. When I got to 36 inches my necklace wasn't even close to the lenght you showed with the necklace you like to wear doubled. Could it be that the actual length if this necklace is two times 36 inches? So to say the 36 inch is the lenght if waer it doubled? Sorry if this is confusing, english isn't my mother tongue and I do not know how to phrase my question any better.

May I share a tip? When I make a spacing mistake like you were showing by accidentally skipping all seed bead section. If you haven't gone too far, just make the mistake the center. Measure from the mistake and finish each end out. That way your mistake is now a focal point. (Granted this only works on repeated patterns).
@beadsberserk84918 жыл бұрын
Dear Jill, so around min. 14, you show us by accident how it looks if you forget to space by RAW. Between 5 and 6 segments before where your finger is at, this is what not to do, good timing :) Thank you for a fine tut. again. BB
