This is a real free range! Almost like in the wild except the number of birds.

Very interesting vid about the raising of free range turkeys, of the Narragansett type ( native origins in Mexico & other areas). I would choose one of these over a typical grocery store, mass-produced, caged, factory-farmed bird ANY time!!!

I raised turkey's for the first time last year...I didn't realize just how very different intelligent-wise they are from chicken...so much that I couldn't process them! I don't eat turkey at all now.Just can't. They become totally attached...chickens don't seek you out and follow you around..but turkey's do.

We have pet turkeys, and I just had that conversation with my husband, about not eating turkey anymore. They are the most loving, intelligent birds.

+Trismegistus the First So they don't peck each other. They can still eat fine though, so no issue.

How are they protected from hawks, coyotes, etc?
@kentopolishomestead88124 жыл бұрын
Eagles and hawks don’t normally attack turkeys because of their size. As for coyotes, turkeys can fly very high to escape ground predators

Monica Bitch Would you rather their lives be terrible and cruel and then kill them? Vegetarians and vegans are a very small minority of people, so meat will be consumed. Would you rather that meat be from a miserable factory raised animal or free ranged happy animals?
