Im 20 years old, about to be 21. Im getting ready to start a CRM course with an guaranteed intership (it´s "MS /Salesforce"). I have a programing and digital marketing background, i dont mind learning basic code, this area (Salesforce/Crm) really interests me since i have a background that relates. I want to be able to have a secure career, so i provide for myself. (I really enjoy your videos :D) Thank you so much for the content, i might join your coding class aswell.

It's a safe route that'll give you a stable job for the next 10 or so years. If that's not satisfactory to you I'd look into other things

David, you do the community a great service with stuff like this. I've heard you say coding is for some people and it's not for others. I feel like I fall into that in-between. I don't have the desire to be a full on coder to build complete custom standalone apps, but want to be dangerous enough to handle coding specifically on the force.com platform for better automation and integration and stop there. I've taken other coding classes (Java, C++) to get the concepts and transfer that knowledge into Apex. Do you think this is a type of career path that is actually sustainable (the SFDC-only coder), or it's simply a waste of time unless I'm going 100% into coding? Appreciate your thoughts as someone who's self taught and risen to a technical architect.

It's a tough role that may get you less experience than an actual developer role in the industry. That said a job is a job!

Ohh that 15 weeks apex tutorial, I am following it . When I started it , I was like "woah 1 week learning work, I am doing it in 2 days". That moment I got happy and then I saw your challenge 😬 and realized why remaining days of week were for. Pls add OOP video also on pluralsight. I was also very scared of coding at beginning. But as per me its like maths the more you practice , the more you will be good at it . Very Thankful for you being my teacher 💛💛 . I have learned more on internet than in any classrooms.😂😂

But after visiting pluralsight , the way you teach , each n every line of code with some funny stuff(which repels drowsiness) . It's just awesome. Woops I read your initial comment wrong. Early career I recommend startups as you'll learn a lot more. It's riskier but young people especially need to take risks!

Thanks Bob! Generally I recommend admin first (think admin cert level) unless there is just so much momentum behind wanting to learn to code that it sucks your energy out to do something else! Either way eventually you will need to learn the admin stuff. If course I also think free giveaway times are a good opportunity to take a break from admin and try coding!
