In genraly CPI/Cloud Integraion does not require you to have large programming bakground most is nocode-lowcode but XML/XSLT/Xpath will be useful. also some understanding of programming. The language specific is not that required

Is SAP PI/PO knowledge or experience required to learn SAP CPI ?

No. You can start without it. PI/PO will give you some experiance and understanding of how to talk about inteation
