Great review, Brother !!! I have that same version (Brown w/ orange trim), and an All-Orange one (for emergency situations, that I have in my vehicle - for signaling and shelter, like a bigger version of a VS-17 Panel). It also comes in a dark blue, a camo (woodland w/orange Free Soldier logos), and other versions with only 6 tie-outs (instead of the 19 on the one you ordered). It's a pretty multifunctional tarp, that due to the 19 tie-outs on the standard versions, can be configured in a multitude of ways (for survival, woodcraft/bushcraft, Scout events, waterproof covering for items, etc.) Keep up the great work !!!

New viewer to your channel. Appreciate the video as I found the review honest, straightforward, and to the point. I have this same brand tarp, but a couple variations on it. I look forward to putting this piece of equipment to the test. I have never hammock camped and seen some videos where they used it as a rainfly over them.. may try that.

I had a question floating around in a canoe forum, for recommended tarps. I got a reply from ccs sewing. The problem with tarps. They may be all 70 or 210 denier. But no one volunteers the tear strength. It varies from 3.5 pounds to 12.5 pounds. I had a hennesse hex tarp only make it a few days, till stitches popped and maybe 4.months. Putting up and down a couple days a week.

Hi! Just had my first night in a hammock with this tarp. Dry but windy night 3C (38F?) I was confused about the 4 short ropes that came with it, but had my spare continuous ridgeline. Apart of that it is a good buy for the price.

I like the look and cost of that Stoker. If the orange perimeter started to bother me I'd probably re-color it some way. Can I ask what hatchet you use out in the bush ? I'm thinking a small Gransfors

Cool video brother. I hear you on all the compliments that you are giving it. What would you say about the durability of it? Do you think it would stand up to nasty weather, like harsh winds? I trust your opinion, and my finger is on the trigger aimed at that buy now button on amazon.

Brian, it would but the aqua quest is more durable IMO.

I agree 100%...no bright colors on earth tones, it defeat the purpose. I hated the old Fieldline bags sold by Walmart for the same reason, they put bright red webbing in a few spots and red zipper pulls on a OD green shoulder bag...freaking gross!

And Free Soldier even put their emblem on the camo tarp in a bright orange...jeez, and the dark blue tarp doesn't have anything on it...its just all dark blue ,go figure, the tarp that's not camo or earthen color doesn't have any hunter orange on it but the camo and earthen color tarps do...thats stupid, whoever thought of that should be fired, they don't know what the hell they're doing, nor do they know what people want.
